My husband and I entered the restaurant after reading rave reviews and found only 4 tables were occupied, so it wasn't busy. We were asked if there were reservations. We said no, and she seated us at a corner table that happened to be not so clean (usually used for takeouts) instead of the obviously clean tables. There were no utensils on the table whereas other tables had utensils and glasses. So the table they seated us at wasn't even prepared. She gave us water and ignored us for 15 minutes. We got ratty ripped apart dirty menu. A white couple came in and got seated right away at a clean table. They got water right away, and the waiter within 3 minutes went to their table and chatted with them, then got their order. Oh, for some reason, they had a different menu that looked clean. I made eye contact with that same server, and he just walked right past me. After that happened, we just got up and left the restaurant. Was it a coincidence that we were the ONLY visible minorities in there? Everyone else was white. Hmmmm.... obviously, there were many clear indicators. 😒 We would never recommend this restaurant to anyone UNLESS they fall within that SPECIAL category. 🤨 We got our...
Read moreWent there for the first time last night with friends... the menu seemed ok but none of the meals come with veggies, rice or noodlles... 🤔 one of my friends wanted the tofu and it showed on the menu $17 so we asked the waitress if the tofu came with anything else and nope! Plain tofu for $17 😟😟😟 we all decided to take la table d'hôte since it was the only way to get a bit of white rice and a little portion of steamed veggies that had no taste... you can always ask for a side dish which is more expensive than getting it in la table d'hôte. The spring roll and frien ravioli were amazing we all looooved it!! I ordered lemon chicken, the chicken was tasty for me since I have a sweet tooth, I ate it all but I never tasted the lemon in it!!! There is no dessert and no tea with la table d'hôte...🤷♀️ We had to ask twice or three times for more water, for chopsticks... not the best experience and not the best food for me, sorry I would...
Read moreI do not know whether it is customary to have slow service or not at Montreal restaurants, but it was awful. We went to the restaurant at 5:30pm and left at 8:20pm. The food took forever to be served. Probably there was 1 chef and 2 waitstaff. Poor restaurant management.
We had to ask for the check 3 times. 4 out of 5 of us did not like our meal. But by the time we were served our food, it was too late (time-wise) to go elsewhere.
Do not order the crispy spinach...unless you like roasted spinach tossed in sugar. Yes, you read correctly....sugary...
