The owner of this establishment exhibits an unprofessional and discourteous demeanor, which I suspect translates into poor treatment of his employees. During our visit, we experienced an excessive delay of over an hour before our meals were served. Furthermore, the timing of the service was inconsistent, with some of us finishing our meals before others had even received theirs.
When I attempted to calmly discuss our concerns regarding the service, the owner responded with non-verbal cues that conveyed arrogance. I explained that while we were unsure where the mistake originated, we did not wish to blame the server and hoped the restaurant would take responsibility for the issues. His response was dismissive and unhelpful.
The owner offered us a $5 voucher for a future visit to Cora. However, upon reading the voucher, we discovered it was only valid at his specific restaurant. When we attempted to use the voucher immediately, he informed us it was intended for a future visit. Given that not all members of our party live nearby, this resolution was impractical and unsatisfactory.
In the end, we apologized to the server for any additional stress caused, as it was clear she was distressed and on the verge of tears, likely due to the owner's treatment. Based on this experience, I strongly advise against patronizing this restaurant and supporting...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible in every way. Took 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were there after being sat at the table. It almost felt as if the server was actively ignoring us, but as it was slightly busy we chalked it up to her being in a rush.
Order was finally taken and the drinks came quickly.
The food then took 30 minutes to arrive. For at least five minutes we could see it in the window waiting to be picked up.
It finally came, and they didnt get the order right. But we had waited so long we just left it be. Our son's eggs had been sitting under the warmer for so long they had gone dark yellow and hard on the tops.
My husband's had been under so long the fruit was warm and the eggs were cold.
The egg on top of my skillet was under cooked. The whites were still clear, so much so thatbthere was a large, clear jelly bit that fell to the bottom when you tried to mix the egg in .
The skillet was also cold.
Overall- terrible food, not the best service, and a but of a health risk. Save yourself the headache. Drive 10 minutes down the road to Miami Deli and get a decent, hot breakfast with...
Read moreEating breakfast at Cora's throughout the years especially on lazy weekends was a common trend for us but now with so many other (better) brunch options establishments, Cora has sort of stayed true to their generic menu. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it's no surprise that most of their patrons are mostly over 50 yrs old. We went there recently to give it another try and the menu and service was alas the same at it was years prior. The waitresses though very friendly, the service was excruciatingly long. I had time to drink 2 smoothies while waiting for a gluten omelet. My partner had coffee dropped on his head while (his coffee was refilled 4x) the waitress passed the dripping coffee pot over his head when she walked away. He reacted, she ignored him. I recommend this spot only if you have time spare and want a typical breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast. Definitely has better hygiene than O'Zeu (which I don't recommend to...
