In desperate need to book a restaurant at the last minute, I called El Meson and asked to reserve a table for 8 people on that same day. The lady on the phone was super 🌟 She was very understanding and helpful. I was able to reserve for 8 people last night for my partner's 26th birthday celebration 🎂 Given that we were 8 people, I thought the food will take time to come in, but our plates started coming in very shortly after we ordered our meals... Everyone in our table had nothing but good things to say about the food. The portions were more than enough!!! Our friends said that the Carne Asada was cooked to perfection 👌🏽 My other friends enjoyed their Beef and Chicken tacos 🌮 My partner liked his Pollo Barbacoa 🍗 My Chicken Fajita was sizzling when it came to our table that one of my friends even commented and said that he also wishes that his food came in with sound effects 🔥 Also, their secret hot sauce was so good that we wanted to buy a whole bottle of it 😆 The service was quite fast, our primary waiter, Señor Roberto, was quite patient with all our requests and was kind enough to help us clean the table when one of our friends accidentally poured his water on the table. All in all, we had AN AMAZING experience at El Meson and hoping to come back soon!!! 🙏🏽 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE LOOKING TO TRY AUTHENTIC & DELICIOUS TASTING MEXICAN FOODS ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We were looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant while a quaint atmosphere. We got exactly that!! So good!! We were 2 couples and ironically we each ordered the same two dishes., Chicken Tacos and the Carne Asada (?)- Steak and Cactis! The Steak and Catcus I had no choice as a friend had said" You have To Try It!" And no regrets, the Steak was cooked perfectly, medium rare and the cactus and sauce was delicious. The meal was deceiving large, I managed to eat it all! The tacos were not severed how you know the/open face if you will but rather came closed on top, the ladies loved them! We had several drinks with the meal, Margaritas and a tequila Sunrise, these too were excellent! We even managed to share some desert, a three milk cake and a flan and once again, no regrets! The staff were super attentive and per couple were in for under $100 before tip! The restaurant is a converted house, which adds to the charm, it is cozy but not intimate. If you decide to go, make a reservation to avoid disappointment as there are not that many gables available. Cheers

I stopped off to eat at this restaurant with my partner after a long drive on our longboards. We were very excited to try this restaurant, as it had been on our list for some time. The food was very good, fortunately for them. But we were treated very badly by the owner which I’m assuming that. The waitress that was also serving us in between was very nice. He got angry because our skates were sitting on the wall and instead of respectfully asking us to move them somewhere else, he did it with a lot of attitude that didn't belong. I don't know what his problem was, he continued to be rude until the end. The food is 4.5/5. But because of his crappy attitude that ruined our moment and even our night, I give them a 1.

First restaurant since the quarantine. To beat The Corona Virus...go where the Tequila lives! The margaritas were authentic, so refreshing on a hot day. Yumm. Guests were evenly spaced out but it still had a good ambiance. I took the lamb and I was not expecting the size of my plate. Could have fed a small village! The sauce and seasoning was perfect. Grilled vegetables galore! We also had Ceviche which we were told was Red Snapper. Reminded us of eating it on the beach, minus people trying to sell you tourist trinkets. Very pleased with our choice and the staff was absolutely charming.

The staff is super friendly, attentive and welcoming. The food is tasty but noticeably salty. We had the enchiladas with mole sauce. I asked for corn but received flour tortillas. The side dish of refried beans was dry and the sautéed veggie portion was very small. The seasoned rice was perfect. The guacamole was good, served with homemade chips and hot sauce. The indoor seating is quite noisy and small. The outdoor seating is also tight but it’s nice to be outside. They have a cozy vine covered alley with nice lighting and seating for couples.
