I ordered 2 dishes and 2 sides: Lo mein noodles with chicken shrimp beef, general Tao chicken, pork and shrimp dim sum, and spring rolls. One of the spring rolls tasted delicious but the other one was inedible to the point I couldnât finish it. The dim sum was delicious. The general Tao chicken however was absolutely disgusting, the sauce did not taste sweet and savoury in any way shape or form and it didnât feel like I was eating chicken, just a very odd taste and texture, very disappointing. The Lo mein was also very mid, and very minimal amounts of meat were in there which I guess is to be expected these days with businesses ripping off customers with meat quantities.
I really wanted to love this place as I had ordered fried rice in the past and liked it, and the staff is sweet and friendly and atmosphere welcoming (although the restaurant does not seem the cleanest of places), the food is something very much left to be desired. Wonât be coming...
Read moreGreat hidden gem. Was craving Asian food and randomly found this place on google. Sometimes I worry about the appearance of a restaurant or questionable neighborhood but this is one of those times you need to look past the facade. Ordered 3 dishes, the house fried rice, beef and brocoli and salt and pepper pork - all dishes were excellent, flavorful, fair in pricing and portion. You get alot for one person. Some other Chinese restaurants serve larger portions meant to share, I found this is to be good to share with two people.
The restaurant itself is very small just a square room but with maybe 4 or 5 tables and some higher bar stools. If you want to eat on place there is room, however better to order to go. Looks like a family business.
No frills, nothing fancy, but very good food, everything tasted fresh and made to order. My partner and I both enjoyed. We would come back...
