La Diperie Decarie — Restaurant in Montreal

November 2024 Update: on Google it says it opens at 3:00 p.m. so I arrive and nobody is here. After 10 minutes nobody showed up I went and looked at the sign and they wrote that it opens now at 5:00 p.m. but it's not updated on Google :-( so I came all the way here for nothing. It would have been nice to know if they could update it online but it doesn't seem like they really care for people to show up for no reason.

Great ice cream but the lady here is a little odd. She just sits on her phone and takes her time and it feels like your interrupting her conversation. Didn't seem like she wants to be there and it feels weird ordering..

I have emailed the support team that replied here, but got no...

Edit: We found an alternative so much better: Bilboquet Decarie. You won’t regret it, their ice creams taste very good (even though they’re not dipped ;) )

When the boss/owner doesn't wear a mask in a pandemic (and we went several times) and is proud about it, that says it all. It's selfish times 3, once for the pandemic not caring about others, once because they have a chance to still be open while many restaurants and bars struggle having no income, and lastly because this is a brand La Diperie, and she's tarnishing their reputation. Shame...

I ordered a Tiramisu cake and it was amazing. The whole cake was a bit expensive in my opinion, around 66$ if I remember correctly, but then again, it was pretty big. I feel like the price is reasonable, but still a bit more on the expensive side. The tiramisu cake had a pleasant flavour and I really enjoyed the sponginess of the cake. The thing that bothered me a bit was the excess of frosting, but I still liked it overall. I definitely look forward to another visit where I will be able to try other items offered...
