First time trying this place.
not disappointed at all, some people left some bad reviews but not in our case
when we got in around 7pm it was kind of empty (and today is friday, nice breezy evening) as we sat down this nice lady came and served us, as time went by people kept coming in non stop and she was the only waitress seating people down, taking orders, pouring water, cleaning tables and so on.
orders was a little bit slow which I totally understand the circumstance. we ordered:
-large tom yum soup shrimp to be honest i think they can improve it. it tasted more like a non spicy kimchi soup, nothing tasted like the real thai flavour but we still ate everything (to the owner, my advice i think you can do better next time, you are a great cook!)
-general tao chicken better than expected, crispy outside and tender inside, very tasty totally recommend it
-Special house fried rice very yummy not too greasy, tasty with some veggies and shrimps inside, you will love it
-salt and pepper squid big chunks of fried squids but really good, kind of surprised how good it was (my husband approved as well since we are both a fan of this dish)
i saw so many asian families coming in so its already a great sign. only for the soup part i was a little disappointed (tomyum soup is better in a thai place)
overall the service was great, quick and efficient despite being alone as a waitress thumbs up!
location very cute decor, good was great. will come back to try...

I'm still dreaming about the incredible dining experience I had at this amazing Chinese restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm and welcoming, setting the tone for a fantastic evening.
The menu was vast and tantalizing, with plenty of options to suit every taste. We opted for a mix of classic dishes and more adventurous choices, and every single one exceeded our expectations. The flavors were bold, the presentation was stunning, and the portions were generous.
The standout dish for me was the Kung Pao chicken - spicy, savory, and utterly addictive. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the vegetables were fresh and vibrant. Every bite was a delight!
The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff happy to guide us through the menu and offer recommendations.
If you're a Chinese food fan, or just looking for a great dining experience, look no further! This restaurant is a must-visit. Can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious offerings.

Read moreMy boyfriend and I discovered this place a few months into the pandemic. Our usual Chinese place was closed at the time and so we tried this place. It was cheaper, and although it wasn’t the same quality as our usual place, it was still flavourful and provided comfort in a tough time. It earned a place in our hearts. A few months ago, we were disappointed to notice that they’d raised their prices. For the quality of food that they make, their prices had always been a bargain. Following the price hike, it became a rip off — you can easily find better for the same price. Still, we ordered our pandemic classic and enjoyed it despite the priciness. Finally, yesterday we ordered from them for the last time. The general Tao we received was coated in very odd batter, it did not have any crunch, and it was flavourless. More importantly, half of all the chicken was or contained cartilage. It was disgusting. We could not eat it. Absolute waste of money. A huge shame. Goodbye Shing Do, it was good while...
