La Gaviota — Restaurant in Montreal

This place has a gorgeous terrace and was able to seat us immediately for dinner on a Friday. I had the mango mezcal margarita which was absolutely delicious! The vegetarian al pastor was super flavorful, and I was so happy to see a vegetarian take on this dish with marinated mushrooms instead of pork.

We also got the tres leches which was probably my least favorite. It was a bit dense, and not as sweet as I expected compared to other versions of this dessert. After the quick service we got for our drinks and tacos, I regretted ordering it since it took around 30 minutes to come out.

Some of the tacos were really good, except the rib eye which was tasteless. Great Mezcal cocktail. Service was basic and very slow. There were literally only 5 tables and they were served already. THE Best tacos in the neighborhood, and def one of the best I’ve tried in Montreal so far. Michelada was 👌🏻 We tried the Gobernador ( shrimps) tacos 🌮💚 and the Fish 🐟 tacos. Both were delicious but damn those shrimps were 🤤

Service is sweet and quick, and they have happy hour on drinks everyday, best way to try out the terrasse. Will go there often...
