We had a charming and delightful brunch experience at @lebutterblume_mtl. A cute and lively destination, offering brunch on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays that is sure to impress.
The periodically changing menu at Le Butterblume is a testament to creativity, featuring intricate and innovative dishes showcasing fresh ingredients that burst with flavor.
We especially enjoyed the pumpkin burnt cheesecake—a delightful sweet dish that perfectly encapsulates the flavors of the season. Rich and creamy, with a beautifully charred top that added a depth of flavor. The spiced caramel cream infused each bite with warm, inviting spices. It was topped with sweet and salty pumpkin seeds that provided a wonderful crunch and balance, and a buttery crumble enhancing the flavor profile of the dish.
The salmon and spinach feuilleté beautifully combined flaky pastry with rich, tender salmon and vibrant spinach. Covered with a creamy béchamel sauce and a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg.
During our visit, we were pleasantly surprised by the super-fast and friendly service. We were in and out within just 40 minutes, which is a remarkable feat considering the quality and attention to detail in each dish. The staff was attentive and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that made our brunch even...
Read moreDiscovered this place due to a Facebook recommendation. It is a cute little space and very very popular. There was a wait for around 20 minutes. It would have been considerate of them to provide some seats for people to wait. I found that to be one of the only negative points. The space is also small and people had to sit in closed spaces. That is another pet peeve of mine. We were seated at the bar, and the 20 year old college going woman sitting beside me was "considerate" enough to leave her bag on an empty chair. The fact that there were other people waiting for that chair escaped her notice, so busy she was in her own little bubble with her friend. She actually had the audacity to look affronted when she was asked to move her bag for a woman in her 60's to have a seat and read her book. The staff are courteous and friendly. I had the German ravioli and my friend had the volaille farci aux canneberges. We also had a side of the pork bun and the house lemonade. Everything was lovely though I preferred the volaille farci. The sea salt and dark chocolate cookie was just right. All in all this is a fantastic place for a brunch, coming up to...
Read moreOctober 24 2025 Update: Came back for brunch, and the rating still stands strong. We had a small issue with the parking meter, and the host kindly stepped outside to let us know the spot was actually free — a thoughtful gesture that really stood out. We tried a couple of new dishes, and both were fantastic. Service and food were excellent once again. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to bring back the mushroom soup as a permanent menu item — it was the best we’ve ever had. Great job, Le Butterblume team!

Had a delightful lunch here! The mushroom soup with sourdough bread was fantastic—perfect for a chilly January day. The red wine short rib was incredibly tender with a deliciously crunchy crust—easily the best I’ve ever had. Fair warning: it’s a very filling dish!
We also tried the beet, fennel, and citrus toast, which was absolutely amazing. The service was great and incredibly attentive, making the experience even better. This is what happens when culinary skill meets fresh ingredients. Truly enjoyed the experience and will...
