Very cute little spot. I stopped here on a hot sunny day while on an epic walk around the city, needing something cold to drink as a refreshment. I ordered an absolutely delicious fizzy berry thing from a brand called Zamalek, which the bar staff served to me on the rocks in a lovely little tumbler. Enjoyed the vibe, the music and the sunshine. Minus one star only because the ceiling fans were going at full speed but there were no blinds or shades on any of the untinted windows, so basically everyone was melting in there and possibly getting sunburned like little ants under a magnifying glass… no idea if they have AC or not but highly recommend that the owners consider installing shades before summer really gets going.

Great experience overall in a charming and lively Montreal cafe! The staff were polite and courteous. Very open and engaging decor and space. The seating could be more comfortable with a few pillows as the chairs are a little hard on the old backside. I had a beautiful mocha that matched with the golden finish of the tables and carried the chocolate flavour very well. Additionally I tried the grilled-cheese beautiful golden cheesy crust, best I’ve had in town so far. The girlfriend also had an incredibly refreshing sea-buckthorn limonade. Iced and cool! Prices are affordable and the atmosphere is welcoming. It would be perfect if only the seating arrangement was more comfortable. Thanks for the experience.

Pastel Rita is the dreamiest cafe I've ever visited. The barista was so friendly (my husband and I don't speak French and are obviously American) - he welcomed us as his first visitors from Wisconsin. The cafe is the most adorable. Wes Anderson wishes he could achieve this vibe in his films. The latte was delicious. Pastry was tasty. And just being in the cafe made me smile. A lot. Five outta five - would recommend! 👍👍👍👍👍

Seems to be more about being aesthetic than offering good food. Was really turned off by the pricing especially since the food ingredients and preparation quality doesn't match up to local competition, it's like they know people aren't there for food like a tourist destination. I took a classic staple of croissant and latte, and they were very beautiful but the dough lamination on the croissant was dry and flakey and the latte had too much foam with a bitter crema. The seating's hard and uncomfortable but again, it's more of a visual appeal. The last straw was flies buzzing around, clearly somewhere there's neglect if you see flies in the middle of winter. Not impressed and made me wonder where all the glowing reviews come from until I started seeing people taking selfies and posing in various places instead of eating. A place for photo ops,...

I used to come to this place before therapy back when it was a little less renovated I mean back when they didn't have the partition wall and it was a nice little cafe friendly people and they punched a hole in my belt once for free and you could see the people working on the crafts since then it's kind of hipped itself up since then it seems a little more millennial chic I guess this is just kind of how it goes but the tall man he took my friend's order and I guess he was busy and we were at a table round the corner but anyway I see the tall man leaving and I know right them the latte isn't coming so we go up to the bar and ask for a latte but by then it had been 20+ minutes I guess what I'm saying is this place is alright but not as good as it was pre renovation maybe that's just because more people...
