The Lili & Oli staff are always super friendly and service here is usually quick. The cafe itself is very cute with plenty of seating, though it is almost always busy, so watch out for that. They have giant windows that let in loads of afternoon sunlight, and overall the vibe is cosy and relaxed. The brownies are delish, the cheddar chive scones are a dream, and while I am not a coffee drinker and cannot speak to that, their teas (hot and iced) have always been very tasty. I had my first ever matcha latte here too! My one disappointment is their new-ish policy about laptops on the weekend--they are not permitted before 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. I always go to a cafe to catch up on some creative projects on Sundays and Lili & Oli used to be my regular stop. Since implementing this policy I haven't been by as much, which has been sad. However, this policy has meant that the cafe has become much less busy over the weekends thanks to fewer people parking at a table for hours, which would make it the perfect spot to stop for a coffee with a friend or...

They have wifi, a massive space with a lot of seating (if you can find a spot), a patio, and two gender neutral restrooms with fun decor! Definitely a place to sit down and get some work done on your laptop, or settle in for an afternoon with a good book.
I love their decaf, mocha, espresso, and the matcha. Perfectly extracted local beans, prepared well and with love! The staff are friendly in French and English, and most of them are knowledgeable about the beans they offer for purchase! As my favorite decaf in the city, I naturally purchased a bag ✨️
The chocolatine is light, fluffy, and generous with the chocolate! My French Canadian foodie partner was surprised by the quality too and said, I quote, "arguably the best chocolatine I've had in awhile," so I'll take it!

Read moreLilli and Oli on Wellington is a winning coffeeshop on every dimension. It has a really nice cafe vibe and high ceilinged bright space for working or chatting - better than the Notre-Dame location which has a smaller crowded feel and is better for takeout. The baristas make excellent coffee (I usually get a flat white or cortado). Today I tried the chai latte because they are one of the few places that make one that is not overly sweet, and it was quite good although I prefer a bit more spice. I also had their quinoa salad which I've been meaning to try and it was awesome!!!!! It is so hard to find a good fresh well-balanced salad for a light lunch in Montreal and it was exactly what I wanted. They were also generous with the feta cheese which IMO makes or breaks a salad of this sort. I will def try their beet salad next time. They also make a really excellent savoury scone and lemon square, which I have tried on other visits....
