What I tried: - Poulet General Tao - Wonton Soup with Noodles - Black Bean Sauce Beef - Poulet Popcorn What I liked: - Great atmosphere, love the decoration - Opens late - Varied dishes - Decent taste - Asian restaurant in HoMa - Wonton Soup What I didn't like: - Price (price of dishes have gone up significantly since the first time I went) - Portions are now smaller - Taste is okay, but nothing to rave about except for their wontons A place that I go to go every 3 months or so. It's always nice to be there, but the food to price ratio is making it harder to justify going here. Prices are 30% than similar dishes in chinatown and portions are smaller. Would recommend the wonton soup though, it's delicious (fusion though, not traditional taste)

What a sad day for flavours. WHERE IS THE FLAVOUR!? But seriously, I have never tasted such a bland pad thai in my life. It looked good, looked saucy, but the taste was something else. Meat super tender, but 0 seasonning and no grill taste either, felt like "perfectly boiled" meat. The noodles, great texture, but goddam it felt like this restaurant never discovered salt, sugar, umami, msg or any other flavours. I had a more flavourful experience at Les Résidences Soleil than in this joint. Sad, this was my cheat meal for the month - my bar for flavour was very low and it didn't even met my low hanging fruit of a hope halfway. Unfortunate. Staff was very nice at least.

First time eating Maneki tonight and it was amazing! Let me break it down to you future clients: Extremely generous size for the Shrimp Wonton Soup, Fried Wonton with that "on point" cherry sauce, salt and pepper Chicken Wings and Shrimps that can make a not hungry man hungry for more and Shanghai noodles, mm mm. Guys, it was so good that I even bought a General Tao combo to bring home! 👌🏼😂 FYI! They are now open until 2am via UberEats so if you're drunk and hungry, you know where to order from 😉

I recently dined at this Asian food counter and walked away quite satisfied. The food was flavourful and well-seasoned.

Another aspect that makes this place stand out is its late-night opening hours. It’s incredibly convenient to have a quality option available for late-night dinners. You don’t find many places that offer good food so late, and this is a real advantage in my book.

The service was efficient, and the counter was well-organized, making it easy for me to place and receive my order quickly. It may not be a gourmet experience, but it offers solid, tasty food at an accessible price point.

Maneki is a reliable spot for a tasty and convenient meal, especially for those late-night dining needs. It may not be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on flavor and convenience, which are often the most important factors for me. I plan on returning and would recommend it for anyone seeking a satisfying, late-night Asian...

Excellent service! I accidently broke my bubble tea and splashed in on the floor, but the server gently replaced my buttle tea for a new one for free!

Server is very talkative and amicable.

I ordered the 'légume au cari rouge': I liked the mix of red curry and egg yolk. Found it pretty ingenious! However, the salad with the sauce is average. Would have liked if they had more vegetarian options as well! I believe it is a fusion cuisine, because mixing salad with curry is not very traditional. Although I wasn't used to the taste of salad in curry, props to the chefs for trying new things! ;)

Lastly, it is probably one of the restaurants (that is not pizza and fries) that is opened later at night (it closes around 1am on weekdays). So pretty convenient for people who want to enjoy some food sometime later at night.

General experience was great, will come back, but hope they make more...
