I recently dined at this Asian food counter and walked away quite satisfied. The food was flavourful and well-seasoned.
Another aspect that makes this place stand out is its late-night opening hours. It’s incredibly convenient to have a quality option available for late-night dinners. You don’t find many places that offer good food so late, and this is a real advantage in my book.
The service was efficient, and the counter was well-organized, making it easy for me to place and receive my order quickly. It may not be a gourmet experience, but it offers solid, tasty food at an accessible price point.
Maneki is a reliable spot for a tasty and convenient meal, especially for those late-night dining needs. It may not be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on flavor and convenience, which are often the most important factors for me. Read moreExcellent service! I accidently broke my bubble tea and splashed in on the floor, but the server gently replaced my buttle tea for a new one for free!
Server is very talkative and amicable.
I ordered the 'légume au cari rouge': I liked the mix of red curry and egg yolk. Found it pretty ingenious! However, the salad with the sauce is average. Although I wasn't used to the taste of salad in curry, props to the chefs for trying new things! ;)
Lastly, it is probably one of the restaurants (that is not pizza and fries) that is opened later at night (it closes around 1am on weekdays). So pretty convenient for people who want to enjoy some food sometime later at night.
General experience was great, will come back, but hope they make more...

What I liked: Great atmosphere, love the decoration Opens late Varied dishes Decent taste Asian restaurant in HoMa Wonton Soup
What I didn't like: Price (price of dishes have gone up significantly since the first time I went) Portions are now smaller Taste is okay, but nothing to rave about except for their wontons
A place that I go to go every 3 months or so. It's always nice to be there, but the food to price ratio is making it harder to justify going here. Prices are 30% than similar dishes in chinatown and portions are smaller.
Would recommend the wonton soup though, it's delicious (fusion though, not...
