I was one of the first customers to this restaurant when it opened many years ago and I always enjoyed the food here. I have been going there dozens of times over the years. However, the original owner has since retired and in the past several months things have changed dramatically, and for the worse. The food is still good; nicely grilled chicken and other meats and fish, with fabulous fries but the service is absolutely horrible! In the last 4 times I went there, each time with a different guest and each time hoping things would get better, they didn't. Here's a few examples of how we were treated by one particular waiter: he scolded us for sitting on the outdoor terrace without first coming into the restaurant even though he saw us from the door at the back of the patio and other staff saw us through the window. Another time this same waiter told my guest when she went into the restaurant to use the washroom that she wasn't polite for not saying hello to him. When I asked him if he'd like us to leave he just smirked at me. He continued in this manner, making snide remarks when he served the wine. Only when another waiter took over did things improve otherwise we were going to leave. Finally, on the one time I ordered by phone, when I arrived to pick it up he made me wait an extra 30 minutes because he said I came late for the pickup. It's unfortunate that this particular guy is ruining the experience of eating at this restaurant. I used to enjoy it and now I won't go back again and neither will any of my friends or...
Read moreWe are going to this place for over a year almost once a month. The service is always very fast and good and the food is marvellous. Except for today, we showed up 2 hours before a show.

We were served our appetizers 40 minutes after ordering and our chickens almost an hour after ordering. A table right behind us ordered the exact same thing and were in and out in less than 45 minutes.

When expressing that we would like the bill quick so we are not late we were told we should not go dining before a show if we don’t have time… we had two hours which is more than enough for what we ordered, especially since it takes less than that in all other occasions.
We were very sad and disappointed by the lack of empathy or even remorse for the bad service by the waiter.
That makes us rethink our choices in the future. It’s very saddening as we really liked that place and the food...

From the moment you step inside, the inviting aroma of grilled chicken sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The decor is simple yet soulful, with traditional Portuguese tiles, rustic wood accents, and soft Fado music playing in the background.
The menu is a love letter to Portugal — from the perfectly tender calamari to the smoky grilled sardines, every dish is prepared with care and authenticity. Don’t miss the piri-piri chicken — it’s juicy, flavorful, and has just the right kick. For dessert, the pastel de nata is a must: creamy, flaky, and warm from the oven.
The owner is a gem , will make you...
