Pho Bep is a new Pho place that I just discovered. Here is my full opinion about it. Came here on a Tuesday at around 1:00PM. We ordered two phos one beef and one meatball and two spring rolls 2x with chicken.
Pro: A) The broth was good and hot. It was too salty not too bitter. B) The Noodles were sufficient and enough. C) The beef balls Were good and delicious. D) The Spring rolls were good and delicious as well. With the peanut sauce itâs just as good. F) The young girl that served us was good in Vietnamese, English and French. H) Service is decent when not busy. I) They have tons of options including poutine and rice plates.
Cons: A) A little bit overpriced for my budget. B) There were no bean sprouts, Chilis and Lime with the pho which should be added as a side dish. C) Not enough green onions and white onions and beef balls there should be at least 20 but around 15. D) The restaurant is small so I could imagine on a busy night where people are gonna sit. Or do they just wait for a table? E) The service is alright but we need more employees and communication also people need to store their plates when finish rather than picking it up.
All in all this restaurant is decent. I love that they have fusion dishes as well. Again the pho needs to have side dishes and they need to improve on communication have more employees and also more seating maybe.
I hope to comeback and try it again sometime in the...

I wouldn't go back for the poutine : Poutine Chicken General Tao : it was bland. Chicken was okay. Sauce didn't have a lot of taste, very watery. You can see that the sauce sinks on the bottom instead of being on top of the fries like usual poutine. Poutine Tonkinoise : I was expecting more than just beef on top of the fries. Too simple, not restaurant quality. I tasted better poutine. Need some upgrade on the sauce and the variety of toppings on poutines.
The Pho was good though. Broth very tasty (but I think the batch I got that day was too salty).
Service : Need to upgrade. I saw the other comments about how friendly the service was, however, the young lady I had wasn't helpful, didn't greet us when we entered, didn't pour water and didn't check on us if everything was fine (note that the restaurant was not...
Read moreFall in Montreal is always stunning, especially when the leaves start changing colors. As the weather cools, nothing beats a warm bowl of pho for lunch. Walking into Pho Bep, the first thing I noticed was how busy it was. The second was there were no Vietnamese customers, at least on this day, which initially made me a bit skeptical. The third was the simple, limited menu - so first impressions werenât exactly great.
But Iâm really glad we decided to stay. When the pho arrived, it looked fantastic. The first sip of the broth - even before adding anything - had layers of flavor I havenât tasted in a long time. The Thai basil were one of the biggest one Iâve seen, which begs the question if itâs even Thai basil! đThe meats were tender, the noodles perfectly cooked, and overall, it could easily rank among the top 5 pho spots in Montreal.
The friendly service made the experience even better. 5 stars - well deserved! Congrats to the Pho Bep team. Iâll...
