Restaurant Deli Green Stop — Restaurant in Montreal

I guess it’s the pandemic but was shocked to discover yesterday that they’ve fired their waiters and waitresses and replaced them with a portable buzzer after payment that you take to your table that buzzes for you to go pick up your order. Like a cafeteria.

No table service, no cleaning off of tables, no water jug or cups for self-serve, no extra napkins, just a couple of boxes of salt and pepper packets and stir sticks at the counter pick up. You will get one napkin on your tray and metal utensils.

All ordering and payment is at walk in at the counter. I would’ve tipped differently if I’d realized they’d gotten rid of humans serving tables. I used to enjoy those humans; one always remembered our favourite table.

We dined in but I’ve had better service at a shopping mall food court.

Finally, the cashier wore their mask below their nose. Wearing a mask in a hot grill environment is tough but Ville-Emard is full of seniors, and this resto had several senior regulars inside. What a lack of respect.

Made a phone order with my friends, and have been living in the area for 12 years and eating here since 2013. The girl working at the front is absolutely horrendous and told my friends and i off when we called back to say they mixed up our order and ended up putting me on hold for 10 mins. Ended up going down to the restaurant where the service was -1/10 and as a paying customer should’ve have dealt with how she spoke to me or my friends. I paid 50$ for her to dig her XL dirty nails into our hot dogs and tell us ‘we shouldn’t order if we don’t know how to’ and then when leaving told us to get out and leave. After 10 years of eating here and showing people this establishment, i will never do so again. The girl at the front has a serious attitude problem and to be spoken to by someone that i’m willing to give my money too is a big nono. Will never be eating here again. And to the restaurant owner: Hire people that will treat your customers with respect because tonight the way i was spoken to was DISRESPECTFUL...

Good food, but I am confused! I go in and sit down, waitress comes and tells me that there is no service, I have to order at the counter and then can have a seat, so I go to the counter and the same waitress takes my order, but tells me if i want orange juice with my breakfast, I have to get it from a machine in the entrance. I then sit down, waiting to see if my order comes up, not sure if she brings it to me or if I go get it. I see it on the rack and am getting up to go get it, then she gets it and brings it to me. I then wanted ketchup and the syrup for my pancakes, so I got up to go ask ... I have never had an experience like it, am still confused and am practically expecting to be on a future episode of Just For...
