I recently had the pleasure of dining at Porto Poulet in Montreal with my basketball team of 20 people, and I must say that our experience was nothing short of excellent. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and accommodated, despite the last-minute nature of our visit.

One of the standout aspects of our dining experience was the impeccable service. The staff at Porto Poulet went above and beyond to ensure that our group had everything we needed. They were attentive, friendly, and efficient, making us feel truly valued as customers.

The food at Porto Poulet exceeded our expectations in every way. Each dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The flavors were well-seasoned, showcasing the chef's culinary expertise. Despite serving such a large group, the food arrived in a timely manner, demonstrating the restaurant's commitment to providing a seamless dining experience.

The portion sizes were generous, allowing us to savor every bite without feeling overstuffed. And, of course, leaving room for dessert was a must. The tiramisu at Porto Poulet was simply divine. It was the perfect ending to our meal, balancing the richness of flavors with a light and fluffy texture.

Considering the quality of food, the level of service, and the overall dining experience, the prices were fair. We felt that we received great value for our money, making our visit even more enjoyable.

Overall, our group thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our time at Porto Poulet. From the warm welcome to the delectable food and top-notch service, it was an exceptional experience. I highly recommend Porto Poulet to anyone visiting Montreal. Whether you're a small group or a large party, you can expect outstanding service, delicious cuisine, and an ambiance that will make you feel right at home.

Thank you, Porto Poulet, for providing us with an unforgettable dining experience. We can't wait to return on our next visit...

Came here for lunch and had the chicken breast and sweet potatoes. Food was very good! Chicken tasted like authentic Portuguese and I'd see myself coming back to have it again. The sweet potatoes was amazing however! Overall I was very happy with what I ate.

Couple of cons however...

Price-tag is a little high and while the chicken and sweet potatoes were good, I was hoping for a little more in my plate for the price. I also wanted Pasteis de Natas to bring back with me but they were 2.25 each... and $21 for a dozen. Sorry but that's quite expensive! I could easily get a dozen under $15 elsewhere.

I would consider this place more for takeout than for eating in. The place could use a little bit of of a makeover with its cracked tiles, open washroom door, cheap divider to the bathroom, things stacked in corners, no AC... these little things matter if you plan to have patrons dine here. At least to me!

Beyond that service was friendly albeit the food took 20 minutes to be prepared. We were 1 of the 2 tables used for lunch.. so I guess that's why it took longer than expected.

In conclusion I recommend visiting and grabbing some food here and bringing it home. More for takeout. Porto Portugal is solid Portugal cuisine albeit with a higher than expected price-tag for certain items...

This spot definitely deserves the top spot in Montreal or even worldwide for the outstanding service I've experienced. When we arrived, finding parking was a breeze!

Sara and Abida greeted us promptly and were incredibly friendly and eager to assist. They informed us about the specials and accommodated us with outdoor seating on that Friday night (May 31st around 9:30 pm).

We ordered the chicken, rice, sausage, fries (sweet potato and normal French fries) and salads, and oh my goodness, the food was exceptional and the service was unbeatable 😍 super delicious and hot / fresh. 🍗 John served us our food and was extremely generous with the portions. He even gave me a fresh salad to take home and treated us to some complimentary shots. I've never experienced better service. I 1000000% recommend Porto Poulet to everyone. I'll definitely be returning for my Portuguese chicken fix, and for my 29th, I'll be booking my party here with friends. Thank you guys again - sorry my review was...

We visited Porto Poulet for the first time yesterday after hearing great things from friends, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, the service was excellent, and the manager, Ryan, really stood out—he made us feel welcome and ensured we had a positive experience. The restaurant is small and cozy, with a warm atmosphere, but it does get busy—there were long lines for both dine-in and takeout—so making a reservation is definitely a good idea. One thing to note: if you’re planning on having a main dish, a drink, and coffee/dessert, you’re likely looking at around $50 per person before tax and tip. It’s a little on the pricier side for a casual Portuguese meal (especially if you're all ordering chicken like we did), but the overall experience was very enjoyable.

I usually wait to provide a review after eating/ordering at a restaurant a couple of times. This visit was not the time to provide my feedback, but the service I got from John was impeccable, especially when I arrived to pick up my order 15 minutes early. Although not his fault, I was treated to an espresso and an extra hot sauce. When I told John that I made my trips from West Fabreville in order to eat from Porto, he was humbled and appreciated it very much. As always, Porto's whole chickens, which I order often, are tasty and not greasy. Their suace is to die for, and you can slap it on anything. Great customer service!

We came to visit Montreal from Toronto over the weekend. We were out late and decided to come here for dinner so we didn’t know what to expect. We ordered the surf and turf, the half chicken, and the mixed meat. Also ordered a couple glasses of wine, SB, and two espressos. The food is absolutely amazing. Some of the best authentic Portuguese chicken I’ve ever had. The pork was also very tasty. The portions are great and prices are reasonable. The service is also incredible. This is a must go. Next time we visit Montreal, we’re definitely coming back!
