As we are in covid times, I needed to try something new. not wanting to have it delivered because I wanted to walk in and discuss the menu with the staff. I needed to talk to someone about dishes I never had. as soon as you walk in it was clean, you know how an Italian was taught to rate a kitchen? It starts with cleanliness. walk into the bathroom. if a person keeps there bathroom clean you know it's x 2 for the kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised that as I questioned the menu and being a novice in ordering Indian food Mohammad ( the owner ) was quick to talk about the menu with both the Hostess validating what I might like. he was proud of his chef coming from London with his take on how the sauces and preparation is different from the way we do it here. He actually took me for a tour of the kitchen, fridges and preparation area. it was as if I was a family member. As he started to tell me he can make me Italian dishes because he had cooked Italian for many years telling me if I wanted a lasagna or pasta dishes or pizza. I was convinced he can actually can pull it off. But I need to see and taste if the 5 star ratings would be valid. everything he suggested from butter chicken and chicken tikka was just right. very nice and tangy spicy complimented with the 2 different rice's and garlic naan. I will be back for more soon. Congratulations and Bravo to Nabab and the staff for a nice Indian supper...
Read moreWARNING!!!!! Used to order from this restaurant frequently, sometimes even twice a week. They were recently closed for 2 months and reopens at the end of March. We just ordered for dinner tonight and it’ll be the last time we ever order here. We were robbed of our $52. Ordered butter chicken which if anyone has ever had butter chicken before, the sauce is not yellow. The taste was nowhere near what butter chicken should taste like, it had an apple sauce kind of texture to the sauce. The naan were over cooked; slightly burnt but they tasted like they’d been tossed in a bowl of salt. Chana Masala had no flavour whatsoever, would’ve never even guessed what I was eating had I been given a bite with my eyes closed. The chicken biryani was the only thing that was anything remotely edible but it did have raisins in it which I found extremely odd but that might just be how they do their biryani, it was the first time trying that so I cannot compare that to any previous time but all the other dishes I had before and all were always delicious but not tonight. Was the furthest from delicious, will never order from here again. Wish I could’ve gotten my money back, honestly feel like I was robbed because we didn’t even eat...
Read moreIt’s not always people bother to leave a review but when an establishment annoys you enough you have to speak up. The place is dead and it took me walking myself to the kitchen to get someone to take my order. When my order came they charged me for naan bread when it was on their flyer as free when you order butter chicken. The employee said it was only uber orders. I showed him the flyer that it says “take out”. The employees had to call a manager called Sunny before confirming that the naan is part of the special. The food was small portions and definitely not worth the $50 I spent. The naan ended up being stale. And the lamb was so hard I’m convinced the whole order was microwaved.
Stay away from here. There are much better...
