CaribPatties — Restaurant in Montreal

Unfortunately, I'm forced to give a star just to share my horrible experience. First thing, customer service is horrible! As soon as you enter, you feel like you are bothering the woman behind the counter. Just cold and no hospitality whatsoever. Ok, I move past that, I ask for some veggie patties. They don't have, ok, I leave. Eating out is already a risk... but desperate times call for desperate measures. I return another day, still desperate. I ask for four veggie patties, and to my delight, they had. My son and I wax that off with the quickness. They were fresh, a bit too sweet, but still seasoned well enough. So, I thought I found my new place to get my veggie patties. I returned another time, and they were out of veggie patties again. I decided to try and order a box of patties through Door Dash, and it was a success! Now I'm confident this will be my go to spot, yay!!! Sad to say, my most recent visit... will be my last. I go for the safest bet, a dozen veggie patties. I'm told they don't have. The lady looks around in the freezer and asks if I want frozen instead. I said sure. She look in the freezer and start digging as if it's six feet deep. She came back up for air and said we don't have and told me to wait then went in the back to speak with someone and came back to say she can give me three fresh patties and 9 frozen, I said sure. We left ate the three that were warm. I open the bag to take the frozen ones out to re-bag and put them in fridge. The patties look older than Morgan Freeman. Well overcooked and hard. Once again, desperate, I rapped it in foil and popped one in the oven to heat up, hoping it would return to its natural state. NOPE, the skin was hard... filling super dry, totally inedible. A complete disgrace. It's should be a crime to sell old a$$ food to people. Word of advice... get some integrity. Value your customers. It Ain't always...

What a gem!!! My boyfriend wanted Roti, and not all Caribbean places make them. We went to another place that he knew had them, but they had none. So I google Caribbean food and found CaribPatties. Don't let the place fool you. It is not really a sit-down restaurant, but they do have some tables if you want to dine in. It is mostly take-out, but the food is amazing. I had the chicken soup. Very hearthy and tasty. We took a chicken and beef Jamaican Patties, and they are very good. Homemade flaky crust with a nice filling not too spicy... just right. I took the Jerk chicken platter with rice and coleslaw. Chicken is very tasty with a tangy sauce. My boyfriend had the chicken roti, and he loved it. Freshly make roti and the chicken curry very good. He devoured it. He loved it. He is so happy to have found a place to have good Caribbean food. The staff is...

I don’t trust the workers. I ordered from this place on doordash and the lady called my personal number to ask me to cancel my order because they didn’t have any jerk chicken left. I explained to her that the restaurant has the ability to cancel the order themselves and that if I cancel it myself, I’d only get 10$ refunded (my order was 40$ total). She denied continuously and said she cannot cancel anything and that it was my responsibility to cancel for them. I work at a restaurant myself and I know how these applications work. If a product is unavailable, it is the restaurants duty to cancel the order themselves. It’s not my place to pay 30$ because YOUR restaurant doesn’t have any chicken left.
