Restaurant Noraka — Restaurant in Montreal

Kosher, Thai cuisine. But they also offer steaks and burgers. Montreal, eh? Gotta love it. We started with the sweet potato fries. Superb! Crispy and spicy and served with a nice dipping sauce. Our main dishes were the Pad Thai and the Pad Krapao. Both were great. The Krapao was quite spicy, but in a good way. All the ingredients were obviously quite fresh, and tasty. We shared a slice of delicious Black Forest cake for dessert. Top marks for the ambience and the service. Our waiter was quite amiable and not in the least bit pushy. Prices were reasonable. A pleasant experience all round. The only improvement I can recommend is to get a liquor license. A beer or wine would be a good compliment to the food offered. We will be back to sample more...

When we walked in the restaurant I was immediately impressed by how nice it looked - super modern and comfortable. We were warmly greeted and seated right away. We had made a reservation and still were given our choice of table. The menu was super varied and we had a hard time deciding what to order - everything sounded so delicious. We ordered a few starters and a few entrees and shared. The ravioli was delicious - wontons in a peanut sauce. The chicken spring rolls were crispy and fresh. For me, the symbol of ahold restaurant is first good ambience, then good service and thirdly, good food. This place has all three of them.

From the moment we arrived it felt like a fine French establishment with an oriental flair. We were greeted warmly, table were decked with white linen and the service was well suited.

We opted for the peanut butter dumplings and edamame, both were exquisite and well presented. For the main course we had chicken Pad Thai and General Tao. Both main dishes were tasty and well presented. We had sorbet for dessert.

It was an extremely pleasant experience and the best part is that it just happens to be kosher. Highly recommend...
