Terrible customer service, and experience. I do not recommend this place to anyone . Just know if they make a mistake on you , one that is very obviously their fault they will not refund you , or admit it’s their fault. I was told my request would take two treatments only and it would be easy to do, however this was not the case at this salon ..
I WOULD NEVER WANT SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSES HAIR!
My experience was a nightmare, one that costed me 386$ (not including tip) and then another 400$ to correct the mess they did. In total 786$!!!!
On top of the money i spent, my time was also lost, having to go to another salon to correct the damage they did because they had no other hairdressers to fix my hair, they just let me walk out of the salon with bright orange hair as if it was normal .
I got a call back from the owner two hours later to come back to their salon so they can fix it for free, HOWEVER, saying I must pay for the products - By then i kindly did not accept the offer, since i was already at the salon across town! (Also my trust was gone.. Imagining the situation if they damaged my hair even more)
Also I should mention i have already been asked to come back to this salon 3 times now in one month. This is what happened in the three times i went!
First appointment : I was already blonde , and i wanted to be unified golden blonde meaning have my roots cover blonde , she confirmed its possible and put highlights, toner, and told me to come back next week so she could put a color on my roots to make me full blonde . I had no orange in my hair at this point .
Second Appointment : I told her to be careful i'm seeing white streaks in my hair and i don't want that to be enhanced i even lied and said it must be from my last hairdresser, because i did not want her to be insulted . She didn't acknowledge my comment, and just did her thing . She coloured my roots bright orange which surprised me, but i trusted she knew what she was doing, and this must be part of the process so i accepted the orange on my roots ...
Until i noticed i had grey streaks in my hair . I reached out to my hairdresser privately and she told me to come to her ASAP so she could fix it .
Now this is my THIRD time coming to this salon, so you can understand how frustrating this is already ... I went back and to my surprise she turns my hair full orange and told me to book yet ANOTHER Appointment ; so a FOURTH time in one month cuz she can't get my hair right... Also the damage my hair was going through was becoming concerning to me .
I reached out to them once my hair was corrected by another salon for a refund, but they refused my request, despite everything they put me through, they offered a 100$ gift card ONLY after damaging my hair, literally turning it full halloween orange, also the person offering me this was very sarcastic about the whole situation. They were not happy that i did not give them a Fourth chance to fix my hair and not willing to do the right thing at all!!
Here are photos of my experience -unfiltered - with Deauville salon. You can make your own decision about this salon.
FYI, i had to cut a lot of my hair off due to damage done by Deauville salon. Also my hair was corrected in one treatment by another salon, So it confirms to me it was not so complicated to give me what I originally asked Deauville salon to do. ( I’m not crazy whew )
If you’re looking for a good colorist be very careful when going here!! They do NOT seem to be knowledgeable with coloring blonde hair. We all know it's not easy to find a good colorist and if you decide to go here know that there will be no refund for damaging your hair, or turning it to a unnatural colour .
I'm grateful for the colorist at Pure Salon who fixed the mess that Deauville Salon so unprofessionally left me with.. How unfortunate, for a company to treats its clients so poorly and not take accountability for their...
Read moreI was supposed to have a bridal trial for makeup at the salon today, which never ended up happening due to scheduling issues at the salon. My appointment was initially supposed to be for 12:00, however I got a text message the day prior confirming the time for 10am. I called the salon to clarify the time, and they confirmed that my appointment would be at 10am this morning. I showed up to the salon at 9:40am for my 10am appointment and was told only at 10:25 that there was a scheduling error and that they would only have time to take me at 12pm. I was frustrated, but decided to get my nails done while waiting to make the time pass by, as I live too far away to leave and come back. The nail tech was extremely sweet and kind, however my nails did not come out looking professionally done. The polish is crooked on my nail beds and patchy, and I am getting it removed tomorrow at another salon. My nails were also kept under the lamp for longer than I think was necessary (2x60 seconds after one coat). The lady doing my nails was so sweet that I didn’t want to hurt her feelings, so I tipped her and didn’t complain. I think she did the best she could, and she was very sweet and kind. But it wasn’t worth the amount I paid for it and it’s so patchy and crooked that I need to get it taken off tomorrow at another salon. The only reason I got them done in the first place was because of my delayed appointment time and I regret the money that I spent on it. I then got my makeup done by a different available artist, as I was told that the one that I had scheduled never showed up. I do want to mention that I appreciate that the salon tried to fix their mistake by scheduling a different artist. However, the point was to do a bridal trial which was a disaster as the artist who did my makeup is not even available on my wedding day. Also, I know she didn’t have bad intentions, but when I showed the artist an inspiration photo of a previous makeup job on myself as inspiration (which I really like), she kept talking about what a terrible job that artist had done on me, instead of recreating it. I happen to like my makeup in the photo and didn’t appreciate her criticizing it. My eyes looked good (she did do a great job with my lashes) and it was an overall good job. However, whole point of the appointment was to do a bridal trial, and the makeup artist who was available for my wedding date didn’t even ever show up to do my trial (my makeup was done by someone else who isn’t even available on my date), so I feel that I spent the entire morning at the salon and didn’t even get my bridal trial done, which was the point. They were apologetic about the situation, but overall it wasn’t the best experience. I really wanted to trust Salon Deauville with my wedding day but unfortunately I just don’t feel...

My friend and I went in to get a balayage, and we both walked out looking like tigers. I had really dark virgin asian hair, and I wanted a dark ashy brown color. When I went in, my stylist told me that it wouldn't be possible to achieve that color because my black hair holds a lot of red pigment, and she couldn't completely strip it of its warm tones– which I completely understood. She proceeded to tell me she would give me a– and I quote– "tasteful medium to dark brown", so I accepted because I thought it would come out looking like a nice, dark chocolate color. However, after the first toning session, my hair turned out BLONDE. As I was getting it blow dried, I looked so panicked and mortified that the hairdresser sent me back to get it toned even more. The second time, it looked so much better in comparison that I assumed it looked fine and left. But as I stood under every possible light, I realized that I got tiger striped highlights that looked so unnatural. The cherry on top of this horrid hairstyle are the two extremely blonde streaks that go from the top of my head all the way down– the ones that frame my face. I have to tie half of my hair up because I can't stand it (I'd specifically asked for the color to go up to my eyebrow AT MOST). After just two washes, my hair has already turned into a brassy orange/yellow. Oh, and they charged me extra for going back for another round of toner because “I used more product”, which is quite scammy because my friend’s hair was double the length of mine and they charged her less (due to her only going through a single round of toning). Lack of professionalism is insane.
I discussed it with my friend, and we both felt that the staff, albeit kind, was very unfamiliar and inexperienced with asian hair, and was far more used to styling Caucasians. Although I should've seen it coming– the fact that not one, not two, but THREE different hairdressers asked me if my friend and I were sisters should've raised a red flag, since we look nothing alike (we don't even have the same skin color).
I'm overall extremely displeased with how my hair turned out, because if I'd known better, I wouldn't have spent 200$ on it. I'm so disappointed for having worked and saved up enough money to dye my hair for the first time, only for it to turn out like this– now I have to repeat the same process in hopes of finding a salon that can...
