Rosana is one of the better and nicer Levantine style (mix of Syrian and Lebanese cuisines) restaurants in Montreal, and certainly on the western side of the island. The décor is very elevated with a large number of crystal chandeliers and plush emerald colored chairs against brass trimmed marble tables. Clearly the owners invested a lot in the restaurant and it shows.

The options are traditional Levantine and the portions of good to large size. We ordered Mouhammara (very good and flavorful), Mutabal (also very good with an understated taste), Yalangi (rice wrapped wine leaves...also very good), Cheese Rolls (a merge of mozza sticks and imperial rolls...very good but missing a sauce or dip), Fattouch salad (very good...we ordered the large it was a very nice portion), Shish Taouk plate (good, includes two kebabs and fried potatoes), Grilled Shrimp plate (tasty, includes about 8 shrimp and fried potatoes) and a assorted dessert platter (a mix of Bousa, Knafeh and Halawet el Jeben...all dairy based mixed with pastry dishes; all were very good, of a mild sweetness (not as strong as chocolate) but suited the style of cuisine.

Service was excellent. There was a surprisingly large number of floor staff and all were very helpful and friendly. A special call out to B_KHALIL who took care of our table. He helped make it an additionally special night.

The ambiance is nice, very bright but as the restaurant fills up the noise level increases significantly. From 7:30pm and later expect to be speaking very loudly if not yelling at your fellow companions. Enjoy!

NOTE: The also offer shisa pipes. We did not opt for them so I am not aware of what the cost is...but a number of patrons...

I went there because of a Tik tok that recommended the Iftar there. Here are my observations:

From the description of the restaurant, we thought that the restaurant and the lounge were two separate areas. They are not. So we were sitting eating and we would receive some smoke in our face from the table next to us.

We were only two and we saw the menu Iftar which is 2 salads, 4 cold mezzes, 4 hot mezzes and 3 skewers of meat (one chicken, one beef and one filet mignon) that comes with a few potatoes. The portions were very small as they were just small cups. We received only small portions of the hot mezzes (two cheese rolls and 4 small rolls). It tasted good, but as you can imagine the portions were not equivalent to the price.

The staff was really nice, but they kept forgetting our 2 complimentary salads and we ended up getting only one after asking again after paying the bill.

So for the bill, it ended up costing us 65$ EACH. We did not understand that it would be 65$ EACH as the usual Iftar is for 4 people so from the explanation since we received less portions we were expecting to pay way less. Otherwise, we would have come with 2 other people and paid 65$ for the full portions… it ended up costing 85$ with the Tips and Taxes. As you can imagine for an Iftar for two with only tasting portions of everything, it is a lot.

Conclusion: The restaurant is beautiful so if you are there for the lounge or you come to the restaurant, you will definitely enjoy it. Just don’t get the Iftar unless you are fine with paying almost a 100$ for a small meal after a whole day of fasting. I would suggest to get something from the...

Beware of their advertised prices and deals! Customer service is very bad.

We booked for Christmas lunch on 25 December 2023, as per the ad they posted on social media and our phone call with them and our advance guarantee payment, prices were as follows: 95$ per adult / 40$ per child of 7years+ / below 7years for free. Biggest part of the amount was paid almost a week in advance fully for booking guarantee (5 adults and 4 children - 2 of them below 7years). The day of the event, the moment we entered the restaurant they asked us to pay the rest of the amount (for 2 adults and 2 children below 7years) - we were not fully seated yet! They asked us to pay a total $95 for the two kids who were 3 & 6 years, considering them as 1 adult, because we had 6 kids in total (which they did not like and expressed it cause it is less revenue for them)! When I tried to complain and explain to one of the staff members, while he was trying to help, an aged man (I assume the owner or manager) interrupted in a very impolite and disrespectful manner. I just left and would not return again. They did not bother to follow up or make it up though they are very well aware which reservation this was and the details occurred. The waiters were very polite and nice, yet they were not briefed on what is included or excluded in the menu/package. Every time they had to go check for an answer and come back to us. Music is loud. Food was ok. The owner or general manager is very impolite and disrespectful.

If I am to be asked, there are so many other Mediterranean restaurants that are way...

If you're looking for authentic and delicious Syrian cuisine, look no further than this gem of a restaurant. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance that will make you feel right at home. The menu is bursting with a variety of dishes that are sure to satisfy any palate. From the traditional mezze platters to the hearty mains, everything is made with the freshest ingredients and bursting with flavor. The shawarma and kebab platters are especially delicious, and the vegetarian options are equally as tempting. The service is top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who are always happy to make recommendations and accommodate any dietary restrictions. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with a beautiful décor that adds to the overall experience. But what really sets this restaurant apart is the passion and care that goes into every dish. You can taste the love and dedication that the chefs put into each and every plate, and it's truly a culinary experience that you won't soon forget. Overall, if you're looking for a taste of authentic Syrian cuisine in Montreal, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. You won't be disappointed!

The place is very nice. The atmosphere is amazing. The music isn't too loud where you can still have a conversation with your friend. Food is really good I don't usually eat tabouli at restaurant but their tabouli was amazing. It was Juicy, lemony and very tasty. Mouhamara was also really good I have tried mouhamara at many other restaurant and their mouhamara was creamy and tasty. The cheese roll were hot and full of cheese inside crunchy from outside. Even their sandwiches are superb. The sad part is the service. I understand it was a Saturday night and it was busy but that doesn't explain why the food will come out from the kitchen 1 plate at a time. When you order something if they are sold out of it, it is the waiters responsibility to come and say oh sorry we are sold out, which did not happen. If something need time on the grill they should inform the customer this plate is going to take 30 min to cook or 40 min to cook. Owner or manager need to step up their game about the service. With the exception of the hookah service, the guy in charge of it kept checking up on us and changing the charcoal. The hookah was also very good.
