First time customer. Phone in delivery order. OMG!!! AMAZING!!!! Number1: the gentleman that answered the phone was incredibly polite, helpful and patient. He took the time to explain everything and offered his help with the menu. Number2: He noted the delivery instructions clearly and repeated everything to make sure they're would be NO mistakes. Number3: The delivery person was fast, efficient, polite and rather charming. Number4 ( and what a number, cause this one is the homerun!): the food! OMG! The food was spectacular! I don't use this expression often, but the experience was " food sex"!!!! For your basic Greek restaurant food, you expect good, maybe really good, but this was a culinary orgasm! Everyone has their own opinion, and this is just mine and my 90 year old mother's...but man, did we enjoy our dinner. I've eaten Greek food in many, many restaurants, and their sauce, fries, salad, pita and side bread were all delicious! I can't say enough about the food, service, delivery and phone interaction. What a wonderful experience at Restaurant Souvlaki. From the time you walk in and are greeted by the warm and friendly owner Santos and his hard working sidekick Joelle to the last bite of our baklava that we ate later in the day, this was a five star experience all the way. The food was really delicious. We had the chicken souvlaki on a pita, and the tzatziki was very yummy, as was the deliciously fresh and juicy chicken and medley of fresh veggie ingredients inside. The side salad of head lettuce and sliced tomatoes was fresh but was a bit underwhelming and probably could have used some cukes and peppers for added taste, colour and variety, but their homemade Viniagreek Dressing, which they market in the city and online, was really tasty on the salad. The service was quick as well as we had an appointment we had to get to. The prices were more than fair considering what you pay for far inferior fast food and we even were offered a discount on our dessert!! This hidden gem is a must try while you're in Montreal. Honestly this was super disappointing. I was expecting better but unfortunately I have so many negative things to say that I don’t know where to begin. I’ll start with the positive. The only good things I can say was the garlic bread, which isn’t hard to mess up, and the baklava which was really good but I’m not 100% sure that you guys make it. Everything else was not so good.

The negative. Meat was tough, no flavour. Rice seemed like it was not properly washed and had also no flavour. Seems like it had been mixed with a tomato sauce or puree of some kind and mixed in there with the rice. Prices are very high for what it’s worth. Lastly, how do you charge 7$ plus tax for a small 4oz of tzatziki that’s tasted like it was store bought!!! Super disappointing. I hope you guys can reflect on this and improve these changes...
