Rex Pizza — Restaurant in Montreal

First time ordering from Rex due to the reviews. Not the worst experience but definitely not the best. Ordered from Uber. We ordered a Large Rex special which was $33 before tax, delivery, tip and surcharge from Uber. The pizza was smaller than we expected (14inch) for the price but ok, I work in the business as well and I get it but $50+ for a 14 inch pizza?

In the “notes” for our order we simply asked for Extra Sauce on the pizza please. What we received was a pizza pretty much without any sauce at all as the picture can prove. I know the toppings can soak up some sauce and that’s the reason we asked for extra sauce. Not sure if our note was unnoticed or ignored but if this is the norm for Rex…. you guys need to add sauce to your pizzas!! It was underwhelming and dry to say the least. I’m sorry to say it. We are huge supporters of local businesses and again I am in the business as well but $50+ for 14 inch pizza and all we asked for was extra sauce?!?!? We’ve had cheaper pizza that was better. If the owners read this please understand I have no ill will towards you but I just feel a little sad with what we received. So 2 stars only because of the price vs. what we received and the lack of attention to our note. You also do not have a drink option on your Uber page… only with trios or combos.I hope you take note and correct it. Wish you the best and thanks...

Direct Pizzeria oh my God what can I say where can I start I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a child with my mother my father my grandparents my grandfather's been coming to this place since he was a young man the food has never changed I'm going to I'm going to be 40 I've been coming to this place for a good 30 years I'm about the same age as the owner DD son and in the whole time I've been coming here depunar has never change the quality is never change the personality has never changed you walk in and you automatically get this welcoming feeling the food is fantastic and they all make you feel very welcome there I suggest to anybody tell your friends that leave your family out-of-towners anything they when they come in the Montreal Rex Pizzeria on Wellington Street corner of 3rd Avenue definitely a place they have to come by not must have to I give this...

I count on reviews to make a decision. I am astonished how this place has 4.5 stars. Cozy? No way. A tight and not attractive narrow pizza delivery type of restaurant. I went there for brunch. Prices were ok for the quality of the food. Not delicious at all. I was feeling disgusted throughout our stay there. I had this feeling that hygienes were not respected at all. The first cup of coffee they served for us was not warm. The waitress, a middle aged lady, was passing by us seeing empty cups and would not bother to fill them up. My friend asked for coffee and she rolled her eyes. When she brought the pot, poured coffee for my friend and turned her back to go. My cup was empty as well.
