I don’t even know where to begin… This is 100%, no doubt, the WORST taco restaurant ever!!! I didn’t think it was possible for Mexican food to be tasteless, but this restaurant proved me wrong! My friend and I got the all you can eat promotion and we were shocked at how bland the food was! How can you seriously mess up tacos?!!😭 The chorizo tacos were dry asf and saltyyyyy, same for the steak ones minus the salt, spices and flavour. The quesabirrias let us down soooo badly!!! They looked good so we thought that they were gonna make up for whatever atrocity we just had… WRONG, they were just as bad or even worse lmfaooooo😭 cheese: tasteless, meat: tasteless, even the cilantro and onions were bland asf! Oh and the guac… I’ve never seen an almost white guacamole! Yeah you read that right! I don’t know where they get their avocados but they need a new vendor. Our server was mediocre, we didn’t get water and utensils until we asked for them and we had to get our sauces by ourselves from another table. Honestly, the best part of the whole dinner was the beer and how much we were laughing in disbelief 😂. If you REALLY love tacos or if you just have functioning taste buds, do NOT go there, you’ll be disappointed and probably will get sick and writing a one star review on your toilet the next morning in excruciating pain,...
Read moreWe knew the meal was in trouble when the tacos arrived, the meat dry, grizzled and unappealing and the tacos devoid of any filling besides red onions. We went to Lakalaka’s new location on Duluth, drawn by the sign outside advertising all-you-can-eat tacos for 25 dollars. But the tacos that arrived didn’t match the ingredients of the tacos on the menu and were practically naked. Then, when we asked for a small side of guacamole, the manager refused, saying they only offer guacamole and chips for 14 dollars. There was only a choice of one beer— a 9 dollar Corona. In an area crowded with Mexican restaurants, Lakalaka doesn’t deliver. And the taco offer was misleading— a ploy to get bums on seats but then offer low-grade tacos with minimal ingredients. The decor is festive and the waitress was apologetic. But Lakalaka, unfortunately, joins the array of often mediocre, touristy restaurants on...
