Toujours Mikes — Restaurant in Montreal

I arrived around 6 PM. I was alone with two children about five minutes after we were seated another group was seated be beside us. This group had four adults and three teenagers. They sat the adults right next to us and the teenagers on the other end, and those adults were super loud and talking. There were so many other tables available, I didn’t really understand that logic but whatever no big deal. their orders were taken before ours, and once we ordered it took over an hour to get the food. They brought my daughters plate first, about five minutes later I saw my sons plate on the counter where they put the plates that are ready and it sat there about 10 minutes until my pizza was ready. Then they brought my sons plate, and after my pizza. At this point my daughter was halfway done to eat, and when they brought me my pizza after I had specifically said no green, neither black olives, no olives of any kind and they brought me a pizza full of olives. As she brought the pizza, before I saw the olives, I was telling her that I was really disappointed and would appreciate a rebate off my bill for the extreme wait time. once I saw the olives, I just told her to take the pizza back that I didn’t want it, that the kids would finish eating and we would leave. She told us that we would not have to pay for anything, we were really grateful for the attempt to fix the situation, I asked if she could bring her machine and we could at least process a tip for her on my card. She said no no that was not necessary that she wouldn’t so we pulled out every change that we had in our pockets and I believe we left four or five dollars of tip. Both of my kids were already eating their plates and I let them finish, when they were almost done she came back to tell us that we would have to pay for the kids meal after she told us we would have to pay for nothing and accepted my change money as a tip. We were in the Mike’s for two hours. I ate nothing and it costed me $20 after they told me I wouldn’t have to pay that. I am never going back...

I would give 0 stars if I could. Me and my family have been coming here for 20+ years for breakfast, it’s a tradition. However on this occasion the owner took our order and we were 5 people to get the same order, we repeated it numerous times, offered to write it down ourselves and the orders all came back incorrectly. Mistakes happen and this wasn’t our issue, the owner then decides to put the blame on us. He started to be disrespectful and saying this was all our fault and that we had told him the wrong order, even though he had to come back numerous times after our order was taken to validate a few things about our plates and we continued to clarify each time. Considering the restaurant was completely empty when we arrived, there was no reason for him to take the disrespectful route instead of trying to rectify the mistakes he made. He lacks the customer service skills needed to run a restaurant and was so unbelievably disrespectful, rude and swore at us numerous times with kids around. We’ve noticed that over the last few years the service and quality has gone down but continued to support a restaurant we have been going to for years and it’s safe to say we will NEVER be going back, this restaurant in particular needs to have new management team run the...

I was there Sunday January 28th around 3pm as was very irritated with the service. I ordered a vegetarian pizza and the waitress make a mistake and brought me the wrong pizza. She told me she would be back but to my surprised a man came to my table (I think he might be a manager) tried to convince me to eat the wrong pizza because it was already made, and if I didn’t the poor waitress had to pay it... I can’t believe they think guilt tripping the client for the waitress’s mistakes is an ideal service. I had to tell him four times I wanted to get what I ordered and not the pizza they made and made he me feel like a “picky” costumer for it... At this point I honestly wanted to leave. Please beware of this cheap management. They will force you to take whatever they made even if it wasn’t what you originally came for....
