Un Amour des Thés — Restaurant in Montreal

I normally don't do reviews, to be honest, since they aren't really my thing. However, in this case, I feel that I should, as the service was fantastic!

The person whom I talked to was wonderfully knowledgeable in the matter of tea, and helped guide me through their selection. Not only that, but they were incredibly friendly too, and seemed to have a good relationsip with their colleague which is always good to see!

Their tea selection was also lovely. I had previously gone to David's Tea, but their blends were far too 'out there' for me. This places has a far wider range of teas that are more traditional, which was more my style. I should also mention that they gave me a free bag of a completely different tea to try.

In short, I felt myself talking to someone who had, well, a love of tea, rather than someone simply trying to sell me a product.

Un amour des thés has a very nice selection of teas. There are multiple classic types and many specialty varieties. They sell kusmi tea and imported tea. You can also find all kinds of tea related accessories there like pots, cups and kettles.

They offer lessons on tea making and courses to bolster your knowledge of anything tea related from varieties to history.

It is a nice shop if you are looking for gifts with a story on special occasions like mother's day, valentine's day or for your wife's pesky mother's birthday. It is a nice option if you want to support local business instead of the big international tea shop brands.

However be prepared to spend hefty sums since it is a specialty shop in one of Montreal's fancy districts and their products are...

I can't say enough good things about this tea shop! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the warmest welcome by the owner, who is truly one of the kindest people I've ever met. He takes the time to help you find the perfect blend, whether you're a tea connoisseur or just starting your journey.

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to unwind with a cup of expertly brewed tea. I personally recommend a nice chai late that he has perfected over the years and a little scone on the side. If you're looking for a tea shop with heart, soul, and truly exceptional tea and coffee, this is the place to be....
