I was rather disappointed with our overall experience dining here. The appeal of this place was a large reason why we chose Moose Jaw for our weekend getaway.
We had ordered some appetizers, among them lamb chops (medium rare). They arrived essentially completely raw. The server was not particularly attentive so it took a while to rectify. They offered to re fire them and they did eventually come back cooked correctly but unfortunately they lacked any salt and therefore flavor. $22 for 2 raw unseasoned baby chops seems excessive & no concessions were offered. This may have felt more acceptable would they have been dealing with a full house but we were one of 2 tables while they had 2 servers.
The next morning we decided to try breakfast. I ordered the classic breakfast and received burnt bacon & eggs that were maybe half cooked. In their defence I did not notify the server about this as I became frustrated at this point, that's on me.
While we had some dishes that were quite pleasing, the lack of consistency or care at the pass really needs to be addressed. There is no excuse for a fine dining establishment to send out raw meat and eggs.
Had either the food been as advertised, or concessions been made by the server after realizing a mistake occurred, this would have easily been a 5 star review.
I don't mean to deter any guests from eating here! I think they have fantastic potential, I just hope this feedback helps...

My wife and I ate supper here for our 1st wedding anniversary. Going by the reviews and the prices, I was expecting great food and service but we got neither. The dining room itself is very nice but that's about it. Most restaurants will go above and beyond to make an occasion like a birthday or anniversary feel special, but here there was nothing added. No acknowledgment, no extras, and even for a regular meal the service wasn't great or attentive.
The food wasn't any better. My wife ordered the tenderloin, and it was fine, but nothing special you couldn't get anywhere else for less. I ordered the bison steak medium rare, and it came completely undercooked. Tried to get through part of it, but had to send it back. This was the only time I've ever had to send food back at a restaurant in my life. Mistakes happen, but usually you'd expect some kind of compensation for the trouble to make things right as any other place would do. All we got was a sheepish "sorry" as I got my reheated steak back on a small plate. Pretty sad for the prices they charge, there wasn't anything to justify it. Overall you could get a better meal and much better experience on a night out for half the price at any chain restaurant than what we got here. Won't...
Read moreWe were seated for dinner after a Prairie Bee Mead tasting. Everything we chose from the menu was great and we had no complaints.
Our server could do with a little training on her initial approach to a greet a table of customers. Please remind your staff to greet their customers and to introduce themselves. The first words out of their mouths when they approach a table shouldn’t be them asking if we’d like to order a drink. We never did find out her name and it felt as though we were served by a nameless person. It felt a little weird for sure. I guess we’re accustomed to knowing our servers by a name. She may be new because she fumbled a bit clearing the used dishes after the appetizer, dropping some onion pieces on the floor. She also cleared both my forks … although only one was on my appetizer plate that she cleared. She made a point of also taking the clean fork to the left of my place setting that I would have used for my entree. She left the knife :). It’s all good and perhaps it was an off night for her. On the bright side I was glad that you didn’t have a staff shortage… and every server has to...
