BobaTime Woodgrove — Restaurant in Nanaimo

BobaTime woodgrove is a good place to get your bubble tea. They have a lot of unique flavours, where each one of them tastes so good with the right amount of sweetness and how they’re always refreshing. The prices are pretty fair with their sizes and the time they make them is usually less than five minutes depending on how many you ordered and how busy it is. The customer service is amazing, they always have a smile on their face when people would ask for help, especially when April and Devin are here. They are a good duo when they work together and they get the job done pretty fast, and every time I would go there, they would always have a positive state. Normally, I would always get the matcha Milk tea with pearls, which is my #1 favourite, including Taro smoothie and Pink lady (🍓&🍉), I recommend all three! I have had mostly positive experiences with this place. Everyone has always been very nice, until they had done something wrong and then they completely tried to take advantage of me. My smoothie was full of little white fibers which I think were plastic or something synthetic. I gave them a chance to explain though and asked the three women working there if they had any idea what it was. All three had no idea what it was. So I asked if I could have a refund and they told me they couldn't refund me they could only give me a new smoothie. I obviously didn't want to consume anything more from there maybe containing the mystery fiber so I asked again if I could get a refund and they refused. So I said forget the new drink. It wasn't until my coworker who is a business major went there and threatened to sue them that they finally agreed to give me my money back. There are some beverages which are edible, but most are not. The tea tastes stale, and they over-saturate it with cheap sugar to mask the old cheap tea.

You are better off spending your money and time on the gas it takes to drive elsewhere, and purchasing the ingredients to make your own. A failed homemade bubble tea will taste better than what they serve here.
