Best offleash dog area in town. Most of it is fenced, it's a nice tree covered area and it's a pretty good size. Obviously though be aware it's an offleash area so a lot of large dogs are running around excitedly, so keep that in mind when bringing your young children or if you're likely to suffer a serious injury from falling as they sometimes do run into people (I have been fine but I have seen it happen without injuries).

Read moreIt’s off-leash but not fully fenced. Tragically, a poor dog recently ran into traffic and was hit. We’re all very sorry for the owner’s loss. So if you’re not 100% sure about your dog and its recall, best to keep it on leash. Most people and dogs are super friendly, and I’ve been able to socialize my rescue here.
Poop bags and an outhouse are provided for the dog park.
There’s also fields to play with your kids but Bylaw does check for dog leashes outside the dog park so if you chance it, you might find yourself...

No fencing has proved to be an issue for some dog owners sadly… Today however… I was so pleased to see that a fence has been built around entire off leash area and it’s so much safer now for those dogs that run off or puppies! Shame a dog had to have a tragic accident before the city listened but now it’s truly a wonderful safe off leash area...
