A&W Canada — Restaurant in New Minas

My wife and I just went through the drive thru on our way to Walmart. I ordered the Wild Caught Cod combo. I could not have been more disappointed in spending over 16 dollars than I am after that meal (if you want to call it that). When I began to eat the Cod burger in the Walmart parking lot, I thought to myself, how is this a popular burger, the cod did not taste fresh and it was dry as if it had been cooked and sitting around on a heating rack, but that’s not the worst, there was zero coleslaw on my burger only a little sauce and that’s it. So I paid 16 dollars for a dry cod burger with no coleslaw. I wished that I had taken a picture before I ate some of it but I forgot my phone at home and had to wait for my wife to come out of Walmart to take the photo. I admit, I did not have supper so I ate it because I was hungry, but it was probably the worst burger I ever had from A&W in New Minas and I did not enjoy it. I am extremely disappointed because I had my hopes up that I would be getting a decent meal after a long day, I was wrong. What is anoying is that management does not have the desire to leave review replies, you would think that they would like to address negative reviews, especially legit reviews, but it seems like they couldn't care less about peoples bad experiences. I might be done with the New Minas...

I enjoy A&W, the price no matter for a good veggie burger, fries and that great root beer served in that frosted mug yum yum yum! We stopped there on Thank Giving Day After my grandchildren had great fun apple picking. There were 7 of us having a good time, the girls we encounter at the cash took the order wrong so two of the children didn't you what they ordered. To correct this we were told everything would have to be put through again...? The girls one with two braids, the other with a pony tail were not very nice it seemed as though they were just not interested in looking after us as we should be served. With a smile, polite manner with a feeling as though you are welcomed to have our meal at this location. Their attitudes should be put into check, there are to many other places to spend our money on good food in your area. I have given 5 stars because I do enjoy A&W, not that we will ever step into this one again. 5 🌟's also for the young lady who is having a baby she made us feel welcome she talked with me and she was right on the tables as soon as the customers left. I go there regularly for my coffee , numerous times a day, some of the staff are great and friendly and you can tell they enjoy serving us regulars. But when those few people I mentioned is not working the service leaves ALOT 2 be desired.. coffee is not a hard thing to take for an order nor is it hard to make, guess they just don't listen. Ex. Today I purchased 2 coffees and both times there was absolutely NO sugar in coffee. I understand the machine dispenses the sugar but if you don't look you would see that it isn't dispensing...not rocket science. Wish those few that actually care would rub off on those there that don't take any interest in their job. Pathetic ...I get tired of complaining and nothing changes. Miss my regular service with a smile...
