I went in a couple of days ago and bought a cone. Once it started to settle into my stomach, I got super sick and projectile vomited all of the ice cream. I’m not lactose intolerant but I’m 100% certain it was the ice cream. I called the location, spoke to the owner and told him what happened. Rather than apologizing for my bad experience or offering a refund or anything, he got defensive & hostile, and was being rude. He said he wasn’t going to offer an apology when he doesn’t think the ice cream got me sick. I also brought to his attention the fact that the employees don’t wear gloves can cause contamination as well, anything could have been a factor. He admit that they don’t wear gloves but that they wash their hands. He wasn’t there that day so how would he know if their hands were washed? Nothing is guaranteed so he should’ve been a lot nicer. That alone gives him horrible business. As a business owner he should care about his customers and offer excellent customer service but instead he doubted me, belittled me, gave me attitude when I was being nice about the situation and refused to give me the head office’s number claiming that there is no head office. I called customer relations to file a complaint in which they said he should’ve provided me with the number but all he did was say that he’s the owner and there’s nothing I can do about it so “deal with it”. He was being a total dick. Customer relations wasn’t happy about his behavior and sent off a report to multiple people including a copy to him. He’s conceited, rude, disrespectful and childish. I will NEVER go to this location and will advise everyone I know to stay away / not spend any money. The owner is a total asshole. You’re better off spending your...
Read moreJust ate there an hour ago... Love the food (we had burgers).. and service ( the girl on cash was training and did a wonderful job)...my issue was that my wife has never tried Dairy Queen so she studied the online menu for that specific location really good before we entered and had her selection ready on the phone to order. The order was placed and the trainee couldn't find it on the register to enter it... So she politely called another staff member over to ask where the button is. The staff member looked and then told us that they don't offer that burger 🤔... So we showed her the phone with the location and the burger option on their menu, to which she then said "oh!??" ...then called another staff member over to inquire. This other staff member then said "oh yeah.. Just make it up as this one... Then enter this one and then add this"... Like it didn't even exist. So... The service was polite, the food, once we got , was great as usual (I've eaten at DQ plenty of times myself) my problem is with the owner of this location for not being up to date with their POS system. Luckily it was slow but this order took A LONG TIME to process and if it was busy.... Good luck 👍... People would be leaving. Get your stuff together DQ.. Support your staff so they don't have to take the heat for your mistakes. P. S.... Our drinks were only filled about 3/4 full...
Read moreI came here to say a lot of the same as some of these recent reviews. Since the new building has gone in, the prices have sky rocketed! And I am further disappointed to see the same repetitive, robot responses from the "DQ Fan Relations Team". Not much effort put into trying to explain why, reason, or appease customers at all.
I have noticed 2 years ago that this DQ charges more than others, but lately the prices have gone up AGAIN after the new build. I had addresses the price concern 2 years ago when I wanted to buy a DQ cake. The manager phoned me, and was incredibly rude, snarky, and super unprofessional. It turned me right off the place. I had recently returned after their reopening to give the place another chance, and seen their prices have gone up even higher than the previous higher prices. I can say now for certain, I will NEVER return. I truly feel sorry for staff working there who likely have to hear customer concern and disappointment regarding prices there.
I would much rather support local ice cream places in town who give back to our community in so many ways. If you want ice cream, save your money and support local at Cool Moose Ice Cream at 9 Church St. S, or What's The Scoop at 5 Downey...
