The experience I had tonight is the second time this has happened and I will never return again. I entered the restaurant to pick up an order for delivery. When I approached, I was ignored initially. I understand that sometimes it can be very busy and so I waited patiently. After informing her what I was there for they were busy making orders for people that had just walked in and placed an order. Then they continued to make orders for other clients and send them on their way. Then they continued to make orders for other delivery services and send them on their way. The entire time I waited patiently. I then had to ask whether my order was coming because I’d been there for 15 minutes waiting and the girl behind the counter just erupted. She claimed I was being rude by asking such a question. When I made it clear that I had not raised my voice or used any kind of bad language to address her, she changed her story. Now it was the tone of my voice that was the problem. Once again, not raising my voice and being calm, asking a very simple question. Was my order coming and why was I not being served while so many others were. Then there were some sort of insane excuse about the time it takes to cook chicken and that KFC and Taco Bell are two different things and that somehow affects their ability to fulfil orders.After all her excuses and all her rudeness, she then said that if I didn’t like it, I could cancel the order and leave. I would never do that to a client. I continued to wait and after almost a full 20 minutes in the store, I finally received the food. When I got it to the door of the customer, they thought that I had just gotten lost or was taking my time or been diverted rather than it be the fault of the store. I made sure the customer was aware that I had a long wait period and I apologized to them for their wait, but assured them that their food was hot. Because that’s what a good delivery person does. It’s one thing to make people wait for their food at a restaurant. It’s another thing to blame them all together when the store can’t fulfil your order in a timely fashion. It’s not the fault of the customer. I wasn’t rude. I wasn’t impertinent and I wasn’t asking something that was improper. I simply wanted to know whether my order was coming and why I was not being served in the same manner as all the other people that were coming in the store. I always believe in second chances, and this was their second chance. I will not be returning as part of the team that services this location in Newmarket. They have proven themselves twice now to not only take extremely long times to fulfil orders, but to also treat people horrendously for their own failure to do their job in a timely fashion . I hope that the manager reads this and takes it to heart. This is a great opportunity for retraining, both in customer service skills and how to handle situations like this as well as working on the speed of order fulfillment. Best of luck I...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst KFC location, manager and staff should be fired. My mother went through Drive Thru picked up 3 boxes of the KFC Tuesday specials. It is our understanding that this special is supposed to be a leg and thigh with a fries. I know over time the pieces keep getting smaller, and I agree with the review that says the chicken pieces are more like wings. We still get some chicken. Of the 3 boxes, only 1 actually had chicken. The other two boxes did not have any pieces that actually had chicken. They were just scrap bones, breaded and fried. Essentially the part of the chicken that are normally thrown away in any decent kitchen is what we were served. The boney part of the chickens ends that should be cut and discarded were in the boxes as breaded and friend chicken. This is absolutely unacceptable and should be illegal. And to sell this to an elderly senior citizen none the less, who was picking up 3 boxes for her family. Any employee working for such a corporation should be ashamed of working there. No employee in the store was willing to help or rectify the situation. They claimed that this is what you get when you are cheap and buy the Tuesday special. What, how dare you, or any company treat customers this way. If you no longer want to offer specials, you should stop. Read moreI had an amazing experience at this KFC, thanks to Kiran, Suman and Anmol . I arrived just a few minutes before closing, and from the moment I walked in, they greeted me with eye contact and a big smile. They took my order without hesitation and served me exactly what I was craving—only afterward did I ask about their store hours, and that’s when I realized they had already closed. Despite that, they never made me feel rushed or unwelcome, which truly speaks to their exceptional customer service.
Not only was the service outstanding, but the cleanliness of the restaurant also stood out. The lobby was spotless, and the back of the counter was shining. My meal was hot and fresh—it truly seemed like it was cooked to order. From the crispy fries to the perfectly seasoned popcorn chicken and delicious fried chicken, everything tasted fresh and made with care.
What really impressed me was how synchronized the team was. They worked together so smoothly, like a well-oiled machine, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. I was honestly shocked to see such dedication in today’s world.
