Hi, I've been to this store regularly over past 5 years and service and food was good. Not anymore. I went to store today Sep 14, 2022 at 3:45 PM. Here is my observation: Cleanliness: none - store was dirty and water was all over dispensing drink. Staff: not trained and store was understaff. Staff serving drink in wrong cup per manager comment to staff. Customer was waiting for just small fries for a long time. Management: This was the worse. Manager was either not knowing what to do and it was over her head, or under staff. My wife and I went there and asked for Fish and new crispy chicken combos. We waited a long time to get our food. When we got it, omg. Fish was dark brown and ugly. I went back to staff and show them the sandwich. Staff said what is wrong with it while looking at it? Look is this a fresh fish sandwich? He could not answer so manager walked in to answer my question. She was rude, she did not know what the management responsibility is. She responded to me, can yo see we are busy and nothing is old here. I asked her to look at the fish and tell me if this is fresh. She said our oil is old and we change our oil every 4 days. I guess she did not know oil has a life line, so either it is this much item used i.e. 1000 and then change or 4 days. I said this does not look fresh to me and I need a new sandwich. She still arguing with me and after a while just grab the sandwich and angrily through it in garbage and told me I need to wait another 4 minutes for another one. I waited another 4 minutes and then she got the sandwich and through it on the counter in front of me. She was absolutely rude and not fit to be a manager. I took the sandwich and went back to my wife. We looked at the new sandwich and it was the same. Mine was the same and nothing like their add for new crispy chicken they advertise. We both had a bite and then put them in garbage and left the store. I knew I could not talk intelligently and rationally with manager. Read moreI used to work at a McDonalds, I always wondered why they short staffed us and generally they said it was due to revenue. I now get it, even if they increase the staff levels the service is completely unacceptable and the staff have no care about the businesses success. I only wish I had staff on my shifts like they have, yet still they provide sub par service.
My partner and I went to to this location to purchase breakfast, I knew that usually around 4 or 4:30AM changeover is done or started. Because I used to work at a McDonalds before I knew if I left at 4:15AM if I got there around half past I could usually just wait to be served, which would have been fine. I arrived and they said we couldn't order because of change over. I smiled and was polite and asked how long. They stated at 4:23 that it was going to be 20 to 25 minutes. I said that was ok, we were willing to wait. They then decide to tell me they are doing deep cleaning so they needed us to leave the dining room. Honestly I think this is just unacceptable practice. If you state you are open 24h, be open don't kick people out especially if they are willing to wait.
This isn't the first incident of horrible customer service it also seems to be completely acceptable practice. Since the pandemic I have reduced going out to almost nothing, over the past while I have been attempting to go out more to eat and as such the service, even tho heavier staffed is worse and is seriously disheartening. Now, whenever I do decide to choose McDonalds as my breakfast option I question it...even tho I did today. I should have trusted my judgement and not visited, as such may be the case...
Read moreI went in today to order some food. I did forget my mask and was about to turn around when I noticed that patrons were allowed to enter with a face covering. I put on my 100% cotton shirt over my mouth and nose in order to comply with this policy and went ahead to try and order.
Unfortunately, the manager by the name of Chester informed me that I can’t be served. I asked why and they pointed out that I didn’t have a face covering. I insisted that I did. They then went on to tell me that “covering your face is not the same as a face covering”, which I find as odd since a face covering is intended to cover the face. In any case, they told me that I could go to the drive thru.
So I went and tried to order at the window. The team member at the window said, “you’re good” and told me that I could order inside. So which one is it? I received two contradictory instructions. I think it’s safe to assume that one of them provided false information.
In any case, I would like to take the responsibility on myself and recognize how wrong I was and I apologize for my irresponsible behaviour. To show how sorry I am, I vow to never contribute to your bottom line again. I am confident I will accomplish this by never visiting any of your locations, and putting the health and safety of your patrons and team members at risk again.
Ultimately, my experience doesn’t matter because McDonald’s is a multinational conglomerate who will continue to be profitable in the foreseeable future without serving customers such as myself.
