Honestly : came here on a first date was super blown away by the interior of restaurant absolutely breath taking. However we sat down and decided to go with the 5$ mimosa special. The waitress came, was kind. However we said more than likely we’re just grabbing drinks no food. So we order one each. We’re waiting at least 10 minutes for these drinks. Mind you it’s a slow Sunday. Him and I both see the drinks sitting at the bar. For over 10 minutes. It’s uncomfortably long, we tried flagging down server. She was no where to be seen one minute she went to a different table. Felt like she just avoided the table because all we were ordering was drinks. However alcoholic drinks. Finally came by we eventually ordered another set almost the same length of time. She laughed at the end and kinda a smug apology didn’t seem like she cared when we said you know respectfully we been waiting a little bit because him and I were talking about it because it was uncomfortable how long it took. She must of heard us talking.upsetting because from 630- 10pm. It took to get 4 mimosas and never came back once to the table other than to drop Drinks off. I’m not one to write reviews but this left a poor taste in my mouth and my dates for this place. As we have both worked in industry and like I said drinks were just sitting at the bar. And just felt avoided by the server at all costs because all we wanted was drinks but she never checked in. Feeling super bummed because we would have ordered more drinks and perhaps food if it didn’t take that long to get 4 drinks out and was a slow Sunday evening. Barely anyone inside the establishment. Felt like we were avoided, just little upset but whole ordeal as the drinks just sat in the Lounge part and felt like the other table she had was getting their order in a more swifter manner. Maybe we should have gone else where..also. Forgot to mention we had BOOKED a reservation for our first time out as a couple. So it would be special just feeling let down by this entire experience. To be honest your better to spend money else where for more attentiveness. I understand business but there was no one there barely maybe 4 other tables in the lounge area at time...

Update - After emailing the Manager who replied here at their request I never got a response sadly. Our meal here on Monday March 10th was the worst experience I've ever had at a Moxie's and I have been to many! The food was fantastic as usual but the service was remarkably terrible. I can't add all details but to start all the starter plates were left on the table when our mains were dropped off. When the server came by again, my mom mentioned how crowded she felt and motioned towards all of the plates. The server picked up one plate, left the rest and walked away. When our meal was finished and we had stacked our plates and made it obvious the server kept walking by and ignoring us (worth noting it was 3-4pm and there was more staff then guests in the restaurant) until I eventually asked another server if they could help us by getting us to go boxes and a dessert menu. The red headed server we asked for help was great but the other 2 servers that looked after us continued to be terrible. We tipped half of what we usually would (usually 25%) as I work in the industry and am aware of kitchen and bar tip outs. When the server saw this they didn't make eye contact and could hardly even spit out the words thank you. I have never written a bad restaurant review before but this service was so poor it almost felt intentional. A sharp contrast to the phenomenal service we received on Friday at the Scarborough location. We had a veggie burger, tiny tuna tacos, a tuna stack, whipped feta and tomatoes, cashew tofu wraps and 3 desserts and the food was great! Hopefully the girls working will step up and start providing a level of service that aligns...

We had a reservation for a birthday celebration in this place today. The food and ambience are nice except the service. It's the service that is really disappointing since she was very rude. We did not even get her name, but she's the server with the tattoo on her back with a long hair. She got our order and all, but as we are all eating, it's obvious that she is rushing us. We try to understand it and let it pass, until to the point that she got very rude. So some of my relatives are still eating, and she is already asking if we already want to pack our food or get boxes for the food. That's when my mom says that we are still eating, and then the rude server pointed to my sister and told my mom that "I am not talking to you, I am talking to her". What an attitude. If the server is reading this, I hope that your parents or relatives do not get disrespected like what you did to us.

Instead of us enjoying the day, it's already ruined by this behaviour of the server. Mind you, it's a Sunday and it's not very busy there, only few people are in there. Maybe that is the reason why it is empty. Rude server.

Another funny thing is that, the only time she became really friendly is when we are about to pay the bill. She does not deserve any tip at all, but we still gave her a reasonable tip in case she is having a bad day like her behaviour towards us.

We will never come back at this location anymore. Please go to another location if you are planning to come here. Also, the accessible parking is far from the actual entrance.
