My Roti Place My Dosa Place — Restaurant in Newmarket

My colleagues and I came here on the grand opening, excited to try this new restaurant as we love Indian food.

The staff were very friendly, however after eating here my colleagues and I faced stomach issues and were on the toilet for a while.

I would also like to add that I had made a ‘reel’ in order to enter the contest for the $100 gift card that was offered for the best reel on Instagram , if enter during the grand opening.

They never announced a winner and whenever I called the restaurant or messaged them on Instagram, I was given the run around. The owner said the winner would be announced within 5 days from The grand opening and would be reposted on their Instagram store (@myrotiplace). I checked everyday. They posted stories but none of the stories had a reel from the Newmarket location.

If they’re lying about something as small as a gift card, it makes me wonder what other shadiness is going on within the restaurant. My colleagues and I will...

Went to try this restaurant with some friends since we have heard such good things about it on different food groups. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted with friendly smiling faces right away. They then proceeded to answer all of our questions about the different dishes and made some recommendations. We ordered the Classic Roti with Lamb filling and the vindaloo sauce, and also the dosa with chicken pikka. Both had generous portions and were very delicious. We did get the medium spicy and it does have a bit of a kick to it. The great thing about the dosa was that my son, who has a LIST of food allergies, can eat it. He LOVED the dosa and kept asking for more. The person we spoke to at the restaurant basically said he can have any of the dosas even with his allergies, which is awesome. My friends ordered the minced lamb dosa and the portions were also very generous. I would definitely recommend this place. Great...
