Updated review from 4 to 5 STAR
As mentioned in my review down below, stick to the breakfast items, and you will not be dissatisfied. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. Give'em a chance.
Also, customer service has gone up. They were really attentive this time. Thank you for listening to my feedback.
Turkey bacon, ham, and sausage were amazing. Although, the sausage was a bit salty.
It is a good place to have breakfast food. Stick to the breakfast items to have the best food experience.
We stopped by for brunch on a Sunday. The place is farely quiet, with a steady flow of repeat regulars. Plenty parking available. A good amount of seating, with high chairs available for the little ones. This place definitely caters to the elderly with wheel chair accessible areas, including larger bathroom doors.
I had the chicken souvlaki wrap. I give it a 3/5 because the chicken was definitely a bit rubbery, as in it probably was thawed from frozen. The pita itself was soft and nice. The flavors are definitely there using a premade sauce that they doused the wrap in. It was okay.
The wife had the hollandaise, and my 2 year old had the pancakes. These by far were exceptional and worthy of their name, happy. 5/5. Home fries are really flavorful and soft. I recommend you pay extra for the real maple 🍁 syrup.
We will definitely be back for their breakfast items. Bottomless coffee is a good value, and it's really good. Poutine was 3.5/5. Customer service is wonderful. A little more attentiveness would be appreciated.
Give them a try if you're in the area, and I will...
Read moreI genuinely don’t understand how this place is so highly rated. I ordered a poutine, and it was essentially soup. The chicken strips tasted like they came straight from the frozen section of a discount store—dry, flavorless, and reminiscent of cardboard. The bacon was so thin it could barely be seen, let alone tasted.
The worst part, however, was discovering a thick curly black hair baked right between the two hash browns we ordered. None of us have black hair, so it was clearly not ours. When we brought this to the waiter’s attention, they simply said, “Oh, I see that,” but left the plate sitting on our table for 15 minutes. We finally had to move it ourselves to the counter. The resolution? They refunded us for only ONE hash brown, even though the other was part of the same contaminated plate—something we had already eaten before noticing the hair.
In short, the food is mediocre at best, with low-quality ingredients that taste straight out of the freezer. The lack of basic hygiene, including the absence of hairnets, is alarming, and the service is indifferent and dismissive. It’s my observation that neither the quality of the food nor customer satisfaction is a priority here.
I rarely write reviews, but this experience was bad enough to warrant one. I will not be returning and have already warned friends and family in the area to...
Read moreUpdate May 13, 2023: Last visit was about 2 years ago, but dont take that as a diss, as I'm coming from Scarborough. I decided to comeback again for brunch because I enjoyed it so much last time. Well, we ordered the Happy Special again and also tried steak and eggs this time. The Happy special is so much food, and as good as I remembered. The steak was very tender. The service again was top notch and very friendly and had fun conversations with everyone especially Alex. I tend to come to Newmarket more often these days, so definitely will visit more often in the future for my breakfast brunch cravings.
‐------------ Was visiting Newmarket and was craving all day breakfast, did a quick search on Google and this place caught my eye. So glad I decided to try this place out. Ordered a happy combo and happy special. The bacon, ham and sausages were very tasty and the eggs were done perfectly overeasy and scrambled. Chose French toast for the happy special, sooooo good 👍. I really enjoyed my visit, can't wait to comeback again when I'm in...
