Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Newmarket

The following is a criticism of the Papa John's corporation, not the local franchise. In fact, the owner of the local franchise called me after reading my review to express his concern over the problem I experienced. I ordered a pizza online and entered my credit card for payment. The payment appeared to be successful. When I got to the store to pick up my pizza I was told to pay again because the online payment system doesn't always work correctly. SERIOUSLY??? I was understandably worried I would have been paying twice. I was told that it wasn't a temporary glitch, and that the online system is persistently flaky. I reluctantly paid again at the counter and checked my credit card when I got home to confirm I wasn't charged twice. The guy behind the counter seemed to be a good dude and sympathized with me. However, the corporate ordering system does not function acceptably. I cannot support a corporation that doesn't operate a high quality online ordering and payment system, so I will not be ordering from Papa John's again. I recommend that the franchise owner tell the corporation that their system is hurting their business and that they should be refunded some of their...

So this is the third time I have ordered. Both prior times have been superb, this time I’m not to sure what happened. One pizza was made to order, the other two (which were the ones that were more money) where a let down. The fiery buffalo chicken pizza, had no chicken... 24.99 all said and done and you don’t put chicken on it??. We upgraded one pizza to have the garlic crust, and regular crust we received..The jalapeño poppers would have been good if there was cream cheese in them like advertised, and if the pepper was actually cut properly with seeds removed... it was literally a whole jalapeño pepper just chopped up. No seeds removed, nothing. One was eaten, and the rest were thrown out. It was very very very unfortunate, and disappointing. Would love to see a response from management as to why this happened. This was from last night, two orders for the same house, I’m sure you will easily find it in your records. Truthfully discouraged to order again, it’s not the most expensive pizza in town, but in total when you spend 80$+ you want to get the pizza you ordered, not the pizza the company decides...

Totally delicious pizza and desserts! Our family loves pizza and we order it once or twice a week. So happy to find this gem! It's REALLY good freshly made food, it has a homemade taste compared to other chains. Different pizzas are always delicious. None of us like the chicken here though so we skip that (its dry and bland). The desserts are awesome which you wouldn't expect from a pizza joint. Cinnamon bun bites and brownies are our fav. They arrive warm from the oven and SO good haha. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is occasional consistency issues. One time a pepperoni pizza arrived with onions all over it, none of us eat them but especially the kids so had to make them different food that night. Sometimes I pay for extra cheese but don't receive it. One time the cinnamon buns were overcooked AND had barely any icing so were too dry to eat. Normally they are luscious lol. At least 90% of our orders are accurate though and combined with the great taste keeps us regular...
