Pita Pit — Restaurant in Newmarket

It is clear why this is the worst rated pita pit. The owner/manager whatever he is needs to sell his business and quit because customer service is not for him. The girl taking my order was clearly new and training and probably scared of the owner. I ordered a veggie pita, no meat no black bean no nothing just veggie. Nearly the same price as if i chose a protein, fine. But the girl was clearly sprinkling the toppings like she’s been told to not put too much. When she closed my pita she didn’t shake the toppings down to the bottom so it started to break and not roll. The owner/manager comes on over in a very condescending tone“You got too much toppings” “thats what happen when you get too much topping” I responded it’s a veggie pita… same price as the other ones. And he goes “yeah you wanted extra lettuce and olives” like it isn’t a veggie pita and the only thing I’m getting are veggies😂 he shakes the topping down and it rolls just fine. Just visited this location today. Great food but the wait time was gravely unacceptable. There was only one girl working the entire shop and it was very busy. She did a very good job at maintaining composure and serving with grace. However, she was definitely wearing many hats and overworked. We ordered and had to wait 40 minutes for our pitas. There were no cookies available for the kids meals and so the only option we were given was for the kids to have a bag of chips but then we were charged extra for the chips which seemed wrong. Ordered online but didn’t realize until payment went through that the order was submitted just before the Davis location closed. It automatically provided the next available day for pick up, which wouldn’t work for me as a visitor to Newmarket. The owners went out of their way to check the order history and called us personally to reassure us of a refund. They were so lovely and kind. Thank you for your excellent customer service! We ordered from the Leslie location as an alternative and enjoyed our dinner very much. Looking forward to...
