The employees at the Pizza Pizza on Bonshaw and Young Street (Newmarket) have the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
I ordered an extra-large cheese pizza at 6:59pm. My dad went to pick it up in store at 7:30pm. He gave them the phone number and name of the order, and everything else required for a pick-up order. The employees told my dad that their isn’t an order under that name and number. Right from the start, the employees had a rude attitude and didn’t seem like they wanted to help in any way.
My dad then called me to double check if I ordered at the right location and I confirmed it was the right location. I even made a call to Pizza Pizza’s customer service line at 7:35 to let them know the store employees claimed that we didn’t make an order. The customer service representative was very kind and helpful and said he would talk to the store employees. After a couple minutes the representative said he dealt with the issue by giving the store employees the order number. The representative said the employees accused my dad of giving them the wrong information and that’s why they didn’t see the order. The representative said the information my dad gave was correct and the miscommunication was from their end. The representative said the employees have the pizza ready for my dad and apologized for the issue. We thanked him for his help and assumed that would be the end of it.
However, after waiting another 10 minutes (at this point my dad has been waiting for 30 mins in total to figure out the issue) there was no sign of our pizza. My dad then again asked if his pizza was ready and the store employees said they were just getting started on it. At this point I was confused because the customer service representative said the pizza was ready for pick up before we ended the call at 7:42.
It’s now 7:50 and still no sign of our pizza. At this point I was getting really frustrated, my family wanted just one cheese pizza but it’s taking forever. So I called customer service again and was connected with a new representative. I explained the situation and told them that they said it would be ready at 7:42 when I ended the call with them earlier but the employees said their getting started with it now. The representative proceeded to call the store and figure out what’s going on. After a couple minutes the representative got back to me and said that the store employees said my order was picked up already? My dad NEVER picked up the pizza. Either the employees lied to the customer service representative or they gave the order to the wrong person. Either way their customer service was the absolute worse. When we told the customer service representative that my dad was still waiting and never picked up the order and that the employees are most likely lying, the representative then said “they can’t do anything more as they have to believe the store”. We then asked what about the customer service and he proceeded to say “it doesn’t matter.”
Overall, a family pizza night was ruined due to Pizza Pizza’s poor customer service and miscommunication between the customer service representatives and store employees. This is by far the worse customer service experience my family has ever experienced and has put me off from ever ordering from the Bonshaw and Young...
Read moreThis Pizza Pizza location is by far the worst location. The food is made so cheaply. They cut corners any which way they possibly can to increase their profitability by reducing customer satisfaction, and food quality.
Every time my order has come from this location (because I don’t have a choice where it comes from). I’ve had to call in and complain.
Don’t order the plant-based chicken sandwich because they don’t have it. what they’ll do is send you two little tiny plant base nuggets on bread In cheap tinfoil, not the franchise logo Pizza Pizza wrap. This is not a one time thing this has happened over four times. Each time I’ve had to call in and waste my evening, which ruins my time with my children Who love pizza.
Don’t order anything that comes in a box like the cauliflower bites, chicken wings Or any kind of chicken bites . As the box will come unlined, and all the sauce will be poured directly into the box. This causes your food to become mush and stick to the bottom of the box and the sauce to soak right through the box which is absolutely disgusting. You end up eating the cardboard box if you try to eat this food.
The pizza comes with the absolute bare minimum of cheese on it even if you order it with extra cheese, you’re not going to get it. They’re so little cheese that you can see more sauce coming through than actual cheese on the pizza. This is also happened every time.
You have to call Pizza Pizza customer service the same night or they won’t do anything for you you end up spending over an hour on the phone with them to get some measly $10 credit or the other options is to let the store that destroyed your food into the first place send you a replacement. Which who wants a replacement from the store that already messed up your order?
As a franchise, there is zero quality control that is done, which is sad. If you order from the Sharon location in the Ultramar gas station, you are 1000x better off. The woman there is phenomenal and your food is always good. Don’t waste your time with...
Read moreI would give 0 starts if I could. Been ordering Pizza Pizza for years but this location has to be by far the worse. I tried to resolve this several times but was mislead by customer service.
I’ve been in the industry and so I understand mistakes can happen and tried to be empathetic towards the situation.
Last night I ordered a Pizza 1.35am for delivery. And waited until 2.30 or so realizing that no one is going to show up.
Called customer service who claimed that they had delivered the pizza and wings.. they hadn’t.
My phone was on the entire time, I had no missed calls.
Mind you if the deliver man took a step out of his car he would’ve been able to deliver with no problem. At this point We were starving.I called again. The lady on the phone said that they’d remake the pizza for us.
How ever I asked her not to make a new pizza ( because it would be a waste) and to just send out the original order as is even if it’s cold.
She tried calling the store 4 times and No one answered and so she ended up emailing the directly with instructions then told me that it’ll be there soon..
I took her and waiting again until about 3.30am realizing that they had pulled one over my guests and I.
I followed up with them today and they supposedly tried to deliver again and they “couldn’t reach me”.
I have ZERO issues with reception.
They cancelled the order this morning at 11.30am.
Checked the security footage again after this call just to be sure.: NO ONE pulled up!
2 hours of time wasted waiting.
The pizza pizza on Davis is far better, save your time, energy and your money and order from...
