Meltwich Food Co. — Restaurant in Niagara Falls

I'm really sorry to the owner to post this because he seems a genuinely nice guy. A few weeks ago, I went in to order food to go. There was no one at the counter so I rang the bell. I waited a few minutes and nothing, rang it again. A lady sitting at a table eating told me "I think he went to the washroom a while ago". I waited a bit longer and the employee finally showed up. To make a very long story short - while I did not get sick, I was grossed out at the lack of hygiene on the part of the employee. If he washed his hands after the washroom - I'll have to take it on faith because he did not wash his hands when he grabbed the chicken nuggets to toss into the fryer. He did after. As he was preparing my Nashville burger barehandedly, he aggressively scratched his face, and proceeded to continue making my burger. Im disappointed in the experience but moreso because I like Meltwich and I like supporting local. There seems to be quite a few new folks working that unfortunately have turned me straight off...

I dont even know how to describe it for years my wife has made fun of me for making grilled cheese out of everything and now theres a restaurant to order it from. I will say this the FOOD WAS AMAZING hands down some of the best take out I've had in a while. Niagara Falls has alot of franchise places and not alot of unique family run businesses but meltwich will be our new go to spot she had the southern fried melt and all she could say was OMG its soooooo good my daughter had the chicken fingers and she loved them they are not your average pasty formed fingers they are real chicken breast coated in a delicious crunchy batter and I had the Monster melt it was so good but I could barely finish it its huge. The only thing I could say as a downside they forgot my daughters apple juice but in the grand scheme of things it's not that big of a deal we just ran to the store to grab her a drink to go with her meal (she only drinks juice with take out) otherwise it was a great meal and we...

We used to love Meltwich. We went last night. There was one employee working. We ordered and specifically told the worker that we have a dairy allergy and requested vegan cheese on the sandwiches. He said it will be 5-10 minutes. A family behind us ordered also. 30 minutes later he served the other family first and then we got our order. I understand that one worker is challenged with many different orders but the management is responsible for the situation the employee was in which ended up to be bad service. Two sandwiches that we requested to be dairy free were somehow contaminated with dairy. My husbands Nashville chicken was terrible.
