La Revolución Taqueria — Restaurant in Niagara Falls

I decided to try this place as it had just opened up on 04/10/2023. I ordered one chicken, one beef, and one chorizo taco to go. The order took approximately 15 minutes to be cooked/ prepared. The wait-time was fine as I was hopeful for tasty, authentic Mexican cuisine which takes time. As the order was being made the owner presented me with two Tostadas to compensate for the wait, and to allow me to further taste the menu. I have been to Mexico over 20 times and have to say this food is unfortunately not up to those standards. The meat is dry, and the tacos are simply presented with a small amount of chopped cilantro and onions on top, with salsa on the side. Flavour wise I would say the food is a solid 3/5. To top my disappointment with the food I found a hair that had been sautéed into my chorizo crumble at my last bite. All in all, I do not feel that the food that is being sold is worth $20 for three tacos. Hopefully these were opening day “hiccups” and feel free to try at your own risk. I...

Tucked away in a small plaza 15 min drive from Niagara Falls is this unassuming family owned restaurant! Vianeya the owner is such an amazing person. I’ve never received such amazing customer service anywhere.

She handles the place with so much passion and love you can see that in her food.

The highlight of the day was the quesa birria and shrimp quesadillas! We couldn’t stop eating those! The Birria unlike many other places is made from lamb here which is the authentic way to do it. The consome with the birria was so flavourful we literally just drank it.The barbacoa was also really great. The only one I did not like as much was the beef and chorizo as I felt it was a little dry but still had great flavour.

We also loved their house made pineapple jalapeño dip salsa and they were kind enough to give us a few of them to take home!

They are also very reasonably priced! We had 3 tacos 2 shrimp quesadillas and 2 quesa birria ( they had 4 in each so around 8)for just around $65...

They just opened, but wow Wow WOW!!!

I’ve been travelling to Mexico for over a decade, several times per year; and aside from the people there, the main reason I go, is for the food (and the sea).

This awesome place is run by Mexicans from Mexico City, and they have the recipes ON POINT! Their entire menu is so very authentic, mouth watering, perfection, and the cost isn’t astronomical! I can’t stress enough how incredible this food is, they opened just 3 days ago and I’ve been there every day since! (I’m a sucker for Mexican food!)

I have tried every Mexican restaurant not only in the Niagara region but also the GTA, and nothing has come close to comparing to this place!!! The staff, the food, the kindness, the food!!!

This place deserves SO MUCH recognition and amazing reviews due to how incredible and authentic their food (and staff)...
