Italian Pizza and Subs — Restaurant in Niagara-on-the-Lake

Absolutely cannot say enough wonderful things about Italian Pizza & Subs. We ordered pizzas from them for my mother’s celebration of life (who doesn’t love a pizza party?) and the folks went absolutely above and beyond for me to help ease the stress of planning and helped the day to go by without a hitch. Even with a last minute addition of an extra pizza there were no issues and every single person I spoke to/worked with was just lovely. We got rave reviews from attendees all day about how great the pizza was, not just because it tasted awesome but because the slices on the party sized pizzas were quite generous. We drove past this place thinking it's authentic Italian pizza or atleast NY style pizza. It was gross. Not even close. The dough was not pizza like at all . Very chewy, dough like. Hard to explain, never had anything like it-- ever. It was as if it was made by a 10 year old.The restaurant was closed but take away was open, the store was so so hot. 90 degrees outside snd inside was 110. We ordered a veggie and there was no salt no pepper no taste at all flavorless and tasted like cardboard. Next time we will go to the pizza hut across the street. Never going back. The fact thay there were no cars there should have given us the hint. The man at the counter was super rude as well. Probably the owner. Complete Waste of $26 for...

Called to pre order subs. Lady answered o ask for two chicken parts and a roast beef. Was told they don't have roast beef...then asked for a regular chicken sandwich with bacon was then told that the bacon was raw and it won't cook on the sub properly. I have worked in kitchens for years and usually bacon would have been put on the side to make sure it has been cooked. I was also wondering how they make a blt if all their bacon is raw. Not impressed by this lady's rude manner of answering the phone and making all kinds of excuses of why she can't so her job. Definitely not going back considering I've been going for the past 2 years now....
