Subway — Restaurant in Niagara-on-the-Lake

I had eaten at this Subway location a couple times before with no issues so today (7/18/19) I expected it to be no different. I ordered a Grilled Cheese and Bacon panini, the girl made the panini and proceeded to put it in the press without asking me what toppings I wanted, there was quite the lineup so the line kept moving down and i got close to the register fairly quickly, i proceded to ask the girl at the register that i hadn't been asked what toppings i wanted on my panini yet it was being toasted. she pulled my panini out of the press and asked her co-worker something which i didnt hear and then turned to me and asked what toppings i wanted and before i finished she cut me off and asked if she could give me the toppings on the side since the panini was already toasted, I thought she was kidding, like who in their right mind would offer to give sandwich toppings on the side, im not paying for a sandwich that i gotta make myself. I was expecting them to say they would make another one or offer to fix it somehow but they just stood there looking at each other like idiots. I ended up walking away and buying food somewhere else. This place is awful. When speaking to the person with your order, slightly ignores me, had to repeat a few times. Next person puts minimal ingredients even when asked for extra cucumbers. Then I pay for my food and they aren’t giving it to me, having a conversation with another employee and then turns to me and state they only charged me for a 6 inch instead of the foot long. They wanted to charge me for another 6 inch but they’ll give me a 10% discount. My sub was $10.89+ tax, charged me $6.99+ tax and want to charge me again $6.99-10%=$6.29+tax. Are you serious? I understand I owe the difference but I should only pay a difference of $3.90+tax or own up to YOUR mistake and just give me my sub instead they are determined to get their money, but couldn’t figure out how to enter it into their cash register. Causing a line up and still over charging me. Very sad way of doing business especially when we are from out of town. This is a fairly new Subway restaurant. I have eaten here once and probably will not be back. It wasn't the food, it wasn't the line up that I waited for 10 minutes to get my sub, it wasn't that the subway artist,Carolina made me a 6" turkey, 6" Roast Beef Flatbread, and a 6" Italian BMT. I was disappointed that they didn't honour the subway deals on the subway receipt.
