Sbarro — Restaurant in Niagara-on-the-Lake

Their stromboli is great, but I was not happy with how one of their employees addressed me during my last visit. The employee working as the cashier forgot to charge me for my dipping sauce, so I ended up paying for everything I ordered except for the aforementioned item. The reason being is that the cashier was not listening carefully when a different employee who took my order was communicating each item I ordered to her. When the employee who took my order realized her co-worker's mistake, she told me "You did not pay for the dip!" in a tone that sounded like she was blaming me. I think the employee could have said it in a more polite way, such as "Sorry, we accidentally forgot to charge you for the [item name]. Would you mind making the payment, please?"

Aside from that, I think they should also improve on their practices by having the same employee both take orders from customers and process payments at the checkout. Otherwise, it would be like playing a game of broken telephone, and they would often make mistakes when...

I recently had a disgustingly racist encounter at this location where an employee pulled his eyes outwards to the side, mocking my Asian background after asking me where I was from. I contacted the business to bring forth the issue, and while the location owner initially gave a short response to say they are investigating, I have not received any updates from them after a week, and I also attempted to followed up with them to no avail. I had a wonderful experience at Sbarro located at the Niagara Premium Outlet centre food court. We reached there when the outlet was about to close on a Sunday around 6PM. Despite that we were served well with our orders. I would highly recommend the Stromboli if you need a quick bite after getting tired of shopping. It's really delicious and fulfilling. Will definitely revisit. The staff was helpful...
