We booked a reservation for Saturday October 28th for 10 people at 7:30. Parking is a challenge as it was busy and luckily we found the last 2 parking spots. It was busy in the restaurant and the food going out to the tables looked great. We were seated and placed our orders just after 7:30. Everyone ordered a main course, and 1 appetizer was ordered also. The waitress said that she would put the order in all together so everything would be ready about the same time. The pizza appetizer arrived quickly. It looked good and the rest of us waited for our meals. There were people that arrived after us, were seated, their orders taken and they finished their meals including dessert before our food order arrived. We ordered 3 pizzas, 1 pork chop special and 6 pastas. After waiting approximately 40 minutes, I asked the waitress if our order would be ready soon. She said it was Saturday and busy and should be about 10 minutes. After another 20 minutes I asked how much longer it would take, and she seemed irritated that I was asking again. I said that 2 tables that came in after we did, were seated, served and finished eating. She said it would be soon. Our meals arrived at 20 to 9, which was 1 hour and 10 minutes from when we ordered our meals. Closing is at 9 and they were busy setting up the tables for the next day. It was busy that evening and very loud in the restaurant so carrying on any kind of conversation with people at our table was next to impossible. Our meal was average. Our waitress seemed very apathetic and we felt that the service was awful. We would have appreciated it if the waitress would have been proactive and let us know that our meals were delayed and conveyed that to us instead of having to ask her a few times when it...
Read moreFirst we were excited to order the 'Chili & Parmesan Crusted Calamari with tzatziki sauce' as it sounded so good. Unfortunately what we got was a tasteless over breaded plate of calamari - quite a few were like lumps rather than rings (where the calamari had presumably collapsed while being coated). The dish came with the smallest amount of tzatziki sauce which ran out and required me to go find our waiter to ask for more. I really feel the batter should not be so heavy and more sauce is needed. There was a chilli after taste which was good, but none of that came through while actually eating them (tasted bland and it was the sauce that gave it some taste). Next we each ordered pasta dishes - again I was particularly looking forward to the 'Pan Seared Shrimp Served on Spaghetti in a Basil Cream Sauce with Sundried Tomatoes' since I love basil and sundried tomatoes. Again it was quite a disappointment when the plate arrived. There was way too much cream sauce and the shrimp were thrown on top with their tails still attached, which I would not have minded had it not been for the fact that the sauce was all over my fingers by the time I was done. The spaghetti was overwhelmed by the amount of sauce on the plate and the sundried tomatoes were seemingly swimming in it and could not be enjoyed. I really feel like the spaghetti should have been a thicker pasta (like a fettuccini) to better absorb the cream sauce - and the amount of sauce cut way back. When we went to pay we had been charged for drinks we never ordered and had to wait for the bill to be amended. I am not likely to...
Read moreIt was a lovely sunny day, but with a lot of wind. We came with friends to this restaurant for lunch. We were greeted by a very unpleasant and angry woman, with a face as if I had come to her home without an invitation and did something very bad. Anyway, we were offered a table in the sun, without an umbrella, explaining that the wind is very strong and it is impossible to put additional umbrellas, because the wind blows them away. It was too hot to sit under the scorching sun, so we said that we would wait until the table under the umbrella was free. The woman said very angrily "okay wait" rolled her eyes and quickly left. 2 minutes later, she brings a group of people who were in line behind us to the same table that was offered to us (without an umbrella and without the ability to put an umbrella) .... And do you know what she does? PUTS THE UMBRELLA. just like that, right in front of us. But her insolence does not end there. Several minutes pass (we stood in the same place and waited for the car to leave from there) and this woman, rushing past us, casually throws on the run "Oh, the table under the umbrella has just been vacated. Do you want it?" Can you imagine?
I am simply discouraged by this blatant arrogance and rudeness. Such people should be prohibited from working in the service sector. The restaurant wasn't even packed! There was no rush at all! You cannot justify this behaviour with anything other than the personal attitude. The owners should urgently change staff. A picture of this employee is attached for the...
