Horrible customer service. I have ordered several times in the past and the service has been great; this time was anything but. I understand with the COVID situation that most people would not be using cash; however the website listed cash as a payment option so that is what I selected. The bill came to $32.24 so I had $40 ready to pay for my bill and had planned to ask for $5 back in change. After ordering online, and receiving an email and a reasonable ETA, I proceeded to call the restaurant to double check if there would be any further delays just so I knew when to expect the delivery. I was told 10-15 mins extra; which I said was fine. Over 30 mins later, I noticed someone standing outside my house for at least 5 mins. He did not approach the house or try to ring the doorbell. So I opened my door to see the delivery driver and my order just standing in front of my house... I asked if everything was okay and if he was planning on ringing my door bell. The pizza was already cold and would need to be reheated at this point. He lied and said he’d rung the bell and no one answered. I corrected him and said I had seen him and watched him. When I went to pay him with cash; he then tried to tell me he did not have change and was just going to keep the almost $8. I said that is a lie and not what I ordered and was told on the phone. So I handed the pizza back, and said no thank you. He then said oh maybe he “had some change in his car”; and proceeded to return with $6. I accepted this and as he was leaving, he commented that I “should just chill.” I found this to be the most disrespectful part of the interaction. I had guests that included someone with Alzheimer’s and needs to eat regularly and stick to a schedule, waiting to eat. Hence why I called ahead in the first place. During this interaction I had tried to call the restaurant to clarify what was going on but was on hold. By the time I spoke with someone, I was told there wasn’t a manager available. The customer service representative I spoke with did try to handle the situation but clearly was not authorized or knowledgeable on how to appropriately deal with a complaint. I will be calling back in the morning to speak with a manager; but I will not be giving my business to this establishment after this interaction. Read moreOrdered pasta from this location, it was not packaged properly and as a result the food was a complete mess when it arrived. Called the location and the manager was incredibly rude and dismissive about the issue, and at one point handed the phone to the driver as if I was supposed to have him help me instead. Tried calling the general complaints line about a refund or some kind of compensation instead, but the customer service agents have no authority to help at all. I have been calling for nearly two months once a week because the agent on the phone has to escalate to the problem to a manager for any actions to be taken, but the managers have just been marking my tickets as "Customer contacted: Issue resolved" without ever making an attempt to contact me at all.
At most I've been offered a 10% discount on my next order, but after this experience I will likely not be ordering from this location again and just wish I could get a refund for my $50 box of destroyed pasta.
Please, just order from Toppers instead. They have better pizza and its cheaper, the customer service exists as well, unlike with Pizza Hut I guess. Or go local and order from Ivans, they deliver as well and if there is ANYTHING wrong with your food they go above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied. I once ordered a poutine from Ivans that was missing one topping, and within 20 minutes they were at my door with a free replacement without me even having to ask, I was just expecting a refund for the missing topping.
With Pizza Hut I had a $50 order ruined because it wasn't packaged properly, the driver had nothing to do with it, he had no idea it was pasta sliding around in that giant pizza box. And instead of trying to correct this, the manager tells me "Too bad, we don't have lids, sucks for you" and says he's not gonna do anything about it.
The food is alright at Pizza Hut, but its overpriced and very unprofessional. If there are any issues with your order, do not expect them to care or help you at all. Absolutely not worth the hassle when you could go somewhere cheaper that will make an effort to actually get the food you ordered to your house...
Read moreOrdered a pepperoni pizza with extra bacon, and instead we got a bacon lovers (with tomato sauce) and it turned out to be a happy mistake as we loved it so much that we ordered it 3 or 4 times again and it always came with tomato sauce. Then one time we ordered bacon lovers with extra pep and extra green peppers, and it came with alfredo sauce as well (it showed alfredo sauce as an extra on the receipt right beside pepperoni and green peppers), which we did not order because it would kill my wife who is allergic to eggs. My wife who just got home from a 12 hour shift and was starving did not notice this before she opened the pizza and took a bite.. After giving her allergy meds and making sure she didn't go anaphylactic , I called and had a heated debate with the manager who is pretty much the owner in his words (Kyle). Apparently true, and also sad with how condescending he was, implying that he was right no matter what and we were wrong. Granted, apparently alfredo sauce is normal on bacon lovers, but he wouldn't even conceive the idea that we came across bacon lovers when they messed up our order, or that they did it several times after and we kept getting it with tomato sauce, or that I had the receipt that said alfredo sauce was an extra on it.. So after calling customer service and being told the head office would get back to me within a week and not receiving any such call, I decided to boycott pizza hut for a bit. It's hard to deny the $5 deal though and when my friend ordered for us tonight to watch the NHL playoffs with and this happened I couldn't not post a review, hopefully they don't kill someone.
