This is the 2nd time we have been to this location and can say I don't think we will be going back again. The First Time We Went: The Fried Cheese Curds are still so far the best thing on their menu, It's so good enough that it doesn't need to be dipped in the gravy served with them. The cheese inside is warm & gooey & the golden outer dough is well seasoned giving it the perfect crunch every time. Plus it's served so cute :) We also got 2 burgers (the brie & bison Burger.) They were both alright but very very heavy. It took a minimum of 12 hours for the burger to digest completely. Also there was a background taste in the bison that I just wasn't too sure about. The Brie burger taste good!! Then 2nd Time We Went: We went for a date night and decided to try the steaks as we heard they are good. We both got rib eye and although it was seasoned right it wasn't amazing, The cut of meat was average at best and it had a lot of silver skin in it making it hard to cut through. Worst thing was we were given butter knives to cut the meat and had to request steak knives when someone happened to pass by and even then we were only presented with 1 knife, so we had to request a 2nd one. The only thing that made the steak eatable was the side of peppercorn sauce we ordered. The button mushrooms and onions were awful, neither of us could eat them. It lacked flavour and even adding a bit of salt at the table didn't help. The potatoes served with the steak were good but could have been seasoned more evenly. Parts of it had a bit of cheese and salt other parts didn't at all...not much consistency there. We got the lobster tails which were actually pretty good and the saver. Presentation was nice and it tasted good. We also got a couple of deserts (gluten free brownie and creme brulee cheesecake) The creme brulee cheesecake was enjoyable and for a gluten free brownie it was pretty decent. It was moist and full of chocolate flavour. It was hard to order our food as we didn't really have a assigned waiter it was more so whoever happened to be walking by and we happened to get their attention. At certain points I thought I might have to go to the bar to get some service or order I will admit was busy hour when we went (around 7pm) but it could have been more organized. It is a bit pricey so I would say for a special date night not just regular. Would definitely go here again but next time double the Fried Cheese Curds & look forward to trying other things on their menu. Heard the steak;...
Read moreGreat Group Experience in North Bay We hosted a special gathering of over 15 people at Station Tap House in North Bay, and it turned out to be a memorable evening. The upstairs dining room, while a bit enclosed with curtains (slightly claustrophobic for me), offered a private and comfortable setup where everyone could mingle and chat easily.
I started with an Old Fashioned with a custom request, and it was executed perfectly—balanced and smooth. We shared several appetizers: the bread and cheese plate was massive (definitely enough for 3–4 people), the beef carpaccio and the tomato-cheese bruschetta were both full of flavour, and the shrimp wrapped in bacon was a surprise hit—an unexpected combination that looked and tasted fantastic. I wasn’t a fan of the duck tacos—they were messy and lacked distinct duck flavour.
For mains, my ribeye steak was spot on—beautifully seasoned and charred and requested the blue cheese butter to compliment the flavour. To construct a surf and turf, so I ordered an additional side of shrimp (sans bacon) with a mystery green sauce added a fantastic touch. Perhaps this is a good idea to be added to the fixed menu. Others in our group enjoyed the salmon and lobster dishes, both well received.
What made the evening extra special was when Korrah, our server, offered to take group photos—she patiently gave us a mini photo session, which really capped off the night on a high note. The service overall was outstanding. A big thank-you to Korrah for her exceptional attention, as well as to Hannah, our other wonderful server, Addie the host, and Kylie, the manager. We truly felt welcomed and taken care of.

Read moreTonight my mother, daughter and I went to the Station Tap House for the first time in a while since covid. I'm pleased to say that even through a pandemic the food, service, and atmosphere are still up to the most wonderful standards that they were the very first time that I went there. I absolutely love eating there for many reasons the stuff is always wonderful, polite, accommodating, and energetic. The food is fantastic. They have the most beautiful dishes with excellent flavor. And are always serving everything promptly and while it's hot. This is our favorite place to eat!!! Fantastic al around!!! It's hard to find a place that holds its standards throughout the years but this is one that you can guarantee no matter when you go you'll always be getting your favorite dishes served the same and with no less care. It's equally as hard to find a place in North Bay let's try so hard to accommodate their customers. When I made the reservations I asked for it to be on the top floor near the window for 4:00. He said sure no problem, he never told me that they usually don't have a server until 4:30 during the top floor. Inside they just called a server in to come in early to cover our table. They were more than happy when we arrived and the server was absolutely ecstatic to start her shift. The station tap House is by far the restaurant to go to perfect for any occasion from a romantic fancy dinner out, to a girls night out, to a great place to celebrate an 80th birthday you name it there's where you should go. We will be happy to return as...
