Disappointing Experience – Not Authentic at All
We were genuinely excited to support a Nepali restaurant and were looking forward to trying Northern Himalayan Cafe in North Bay. Sadly, the experience was a huge letdown.
The food was far from authentic — they pretend to be, but it's clearly not. We ordered Jhol Momo and were shocked to find it served with what seemed like chana tarkari ko jhol — nowhere close to the real thing. The Chilly Momo was just fried and tossed in soy sauce, no flavor or spice that resembles how it's actually supposed to be made.

Honestly, I don't blame the cook — I blame the owner. The owner should first explore other Nepali restaurants, create proper recipes, and ensure their team follows them. Without that, it’s just disappointing food served with a fake label of “authenticity.”
