This is a fantastic inexpensive museum for all ages. It really does offer a little something for everyone. The museum showcases history of North Bay, locomotives, airplanes and more. If your a parent of a toddler. Here is a little tip. The carousels/ heritage railway train ride is open at 10 am on Saturdays. Go there first and it is $2 a ticket. ( keep your tickets) on the back of the ticket it gives you $2 off at the North Bay museum. Adult admission at the North Bay Museum is $4 so basically purchase two Tickets at the waterfront carousels and you get in for free. Kids under 4 get in free. Great way to spend a few hours. Staff were awesome 👌

Highly recommend. Also Recommend going on Saturday morning the farmers market is right beside it. There is free parking on the right side of the museum on the...

I'll leave my rating at five star, but it was not five star worthy at the time of going. Staff were still finding footing and didn't know much about anything in the museum. Was actually pretty bad, kids had some questions and they literally said. I don't know. And moved on. Kids are forgiving. But the information they needed to answer a few of the questions were right on the posters and displays. I did speak with the gentleman who had just came in and seems the staff are all newer so five star for now. We'll go back in a month and see the progress made by staff. They do have a few hands on things for the kiddos which was really cool. They have a conference hall for learning. When staff find their footing, it'll be a great place to go regularly and learn about...

My family and I recently rented The Gallery event space in the North Bay Museum to hold my Mother's Celebration of Life. We were so pleased with the space and with Sarah and her team. The Gallery was bright with lots of windows and hardwood floors, and being able to rent it for 1/2 day made it very affordable. It came with tables, chairs, projector, screen, speaker and mike, which really helped with our rental cost. We had almost 50 guests for lunch and there was plenty of space. Sarah and her team were extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. In the end, we couldn't have been happier and we had a truly wonderful celebration for our Mother. The Gallery is a a gem in North Bay and I highly recommend it if you need a venue for...

A hidden gem in the heart of North Bay! The museum is located in a beautifully restored historic railway station, which adds to the charm of the visit. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, covering everything from Indigenous history and early settlement to the railway, military, and logging industries that shaped the region. There are interactive displays and local artifacts that make it engaging for all ages. A great place to spend an hour or two and learn more about the city’s roots. Friendly staff and a very well-kept space. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
