Every time I go to James street cafe I get the chicken and bacon matzoh melt and sometimes the cheddar broccoli soup on a cold day. I have been going to the cafe for almost 2 years now since highschool. They serve everything with high standards for them self and take pride in there food. Who ever walks in that door they always have a smile for them. The food is absolutely amazing and you can tell they make everything with love.

Crystal & her staff have an amazing little cafe. They are very personable & make you feel welcomed. The food is always packed with flavor & It’s never a disappointment when we get lunch or snacks. The price is very well worth what you get. I would suggest this place to anyone wanting real food with sustenance & made with passion/love. Great job ladies & thank you for being here for the community

Heard so much about this sandwich shop and how they make their own bread, I was excited when we got the chance to try it. I had the Reuben (one of their most popular sandwiches I was told) and I have to say I was a little disappointed. The filling was spot on, lots of corned beef and sauerkraut, but the bread was dry as dust. Nor sure if they just toast the bread instead of frying the sandwich but I had to wash it down with copious amounts of water. But they certainly had lots of satisfied customers waiting out on the sidewalk for their sandwiches, if we try it again maybe I will try something else. I visited this cafe again and had the Reuben again. I mentioned that I found my last sandwich dry and they were very willing to go the extra mile to make the sandwich to my liking. They added some butter and mayonnaise (i like a sloppy sandwich, what can I say) and I found it much more to my liking. Thank you for taking the time to make me a...

Let me tell you about my new favorite place to eat in Duncan. Handmade from start to finish my sandwich made me not miss red barn... The soup, sausage rolls and cookies all raised the standards of things I'm willing to put I'm my mouth and my one and only complaint is Rick takes a couple days off a week for me to suffer relentless dream drooling with nothing to do but wait until Monday when Duncan's legendary sandwich maker opens his doors to fulfill his destiny,...

The chicken bacon melt had tomatoes onions lettuce with very little chicken bacon or cheese as I thought it was a melt??? Also the beef barley soup had so much cumin in it I thought I was eating watered down Chili Also ground beef and not beef pieces Cost me and my wife $38 for lunch which would have been fine if we got what we were expecting The ladies were very nice but I’m into home cooked meals and I felt it really missed the mark on “Home Cooking” Sorry but I...
