I will likely NEVER go back, I've never been treated so badly by staff in my entire life (used to be my favourite place in town).
Tried to phone to order food on the weekend, was asked to hold then listened to the employee "Sheena" cuss/swear her head off for 10 mins while on "hold" (could still hear). Called back, happened again!! Over 15 "F" bombs on the phone in 20 minutes on "hold". NO ONE CAME BACK TO TAKE MY ORDER, EITHER TIME I CALLED.
At this point I drive down to York St, I walk in, it is fairly busy. I ask a lady up front if the owner is in, or a manager. She says she’s the manager. Perfect. I ask if we can speak somewhere privately, she says no. So I lean in and whisper that I just spent 25 minutes trying to order food, listening to the staff swearing and cussing. She goes over immediately to the other lady working (who I assume is Sheena that answered the phone), and the girl starts laughing and looking at us. I ask if we can speak again in private and I’m once again told no, so I tell the manager that I am looking to place my order and honestly I am hoping it is going to be complimentary after the experience I have just had (plus half my order was supposed to be free from their last screw up). I get told angrily that this will not be happening, and she tells me to come back later if I want to discuss it. I tell her I drove all the way down here, I’m looking to order food, can we please resolve this. She offers to get the owner (GREAT! I asked to speak to the owner when I first came in). She returns less than 15 seconds later “I spoke to him, he says there’s nothing he can do”. I said there is no way you relayed my entire story to him in that time. At this point the other person working pipes up “You’re in here every day, you know we’re good servers!” I looked at her and said calmly “I think I heard enough out of you on the telephone, I’ll thank you not to interrupt”. TO WHICH SHE REPLIES “I haven’t even answered the phone today”. BLATANTLY lying and accusing me of making the entire scenario up, I said to her “Then how do I know your name is Sheena and you just told the cook 3 times it’s “*ing bananas in here, * my life” 15 minutes ago?” To which Sheena just starts laughing out loud in my face. The manager then looks at me and says “bye, have a good day” and waves me out of the restaurant. As I'm leaving I hear 2 people standing by the door whisper "oh my God...should we leave too?"
I am someone who they said is “here every day” and they treated me worse than I have ever experienced from any restaurant in my life. No matter how much I enjoy their food, whatever has happened to the staffing there is horrendous and how they treat customer is absolutely unfathomable. I don’t know what it would take for me to go back there again, but it would have to either include personal apologies from those staff members or one from the owner himself for hiring them and have him tell me they no longer work there. I can safely say Brunch On 3rd would never treat anyone like this, and that’s where I’ll be recommending to people...
Read moreI tend to come here with family. Lately it's been less and less but it's always the first choice when we go out for breakfast. Keeping this in mind, I decided to go for something I normally wouldn't
I went with my mom and we walked inside. It was a little busy, the waiter was dealing with someone who was leaving so we waited a minute or two. She then sat us down and she soon came back with some water not even having us to ask which is pretty nice
I ordered a sherly temple as a drink (what seemed to be sprite, orange juice and strawberry syrup) and the Ukrainian plate (as pictured below). The drink was soon brought out. I had to mix it a little due to the syrup on the bottom, but it made it look fancy and it tasted pretty nice
Our food came out shortly after and I asked if i wanted some griany mustard and i said yes. But I was a little surprised at how small it seemed to be. There was 5 perogies and 2 cabbage rolls. My first instinct was to think "I'll definitely need more after this" however as I ate, I realized that this was pretty good. Filling too. The cabbage rolls did taste a little frozen, but that wasn't an issue. I'm not Gorden Ramsay
Overall, I had a good breakfast and I definitely think it's a good...
Read moreThis is unusual for a restaurant in a little town in Duncan to give such low class yet low guest services.. The food quality isn't the best but it was OK after all. The rating wasn't given to the food or the exceptional care from Mandy The rate is given because the fruit salad was served rotten from the look, and the taste is like a couple of weeks old.. These are terrible mistakes. Yes, any business could make a mistake, and I can understand if the response was appropriate... The response from the manager was as follows She took the old plate, and a few minutes later, she brought was she claimed it was a fresh cut fruit and offered it to me. At this time, my appetite was shut down, and I politly rejected it.. The response was ok. If you don't want it, I will eat it, so she did. I was disgusting and upset from the response more than the mistake of offering a rotten plate. First, this is not a simple mistake, and it has severe health consequences Second, the form of apology was very rude and disrespectful, at...
